I truly believe reading is such an important way to gain knowledge on topics you may not fully understand which is so important when it comes to teaching kids acceptance! We love Maya & Neel’s adventures and this one was extra informative because we did not know much about Ramadan or Eid. As usual the authors do a wonderful job of summarizing the essence of the holiday as well as providing more detailed info zooms to the meaning behind the holiday and how different people celebrate! My boys enjoyed this story and learning more about another culture! Such a great addition to this series!

We got this book for my 3 year old daughter as a eid present. This book does a great job at explaining what is Ramazan and why muslims fast. It also does a good job at depicting the cultural aspects and showing something special that muslims do all around the world.My daugter loves the characters in the book as can very nicely associate with them

Love this book series!!! So great to teach our Indian culture to Indian-American kids! It would be awesome to see more festivals represented (e.g., Christmas in India, Sankranti, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc.). Also, what would really be cool is if Neel and Maya visited each state in India and learned about their food, culture, clothing, language, important sights to see, etc. India is such a beautifully diverse country, and it would be great to showcase the diversity of each state in this book series so that Indian American kids can be proud of their heritage!

She tried to fast but she couldn't one day she was going through some online book and she was this book she showed It to me and I said to read it every few minutes he would come and say things this book teacher her a very good lesson

It’s a cute story and fun to read as a family. The book is longer than expected with lots of good information for new learners. Would absolutely recommend this book. My 6 and 11 year olds really enjoyed it.

Very well done! I have purchased all 4 books in the Maya & Neel series so far and it has been a great way to educate my 3 year old daughter about various festivals celebrated in India. Looking forward to more books!

It's fun to read about the tradition in India, and the American kids who travel to learn about the tradition are sweet.

Loved it!!! But... Drawn out, hard to follow if you’re younger than 8. But great idea and book.
