Someone reported that this scale will read 7.6 oz but it won't read 10.6 it will only show as 10. Could anyone confirm this ? Thank you.

Yes. That is correct. I tested it tonight at your request. I placed three objects on the scale that all together weigh 10.00 oz. Then I added an object that weighs .6 oz. The display read 10 oz. Never did it read 10.6 oz. The same result whether the additional weight was .5, .4, .3, .2, or .8 oz. When I added a full ounce, then the display changed to 11 oz. I hope that answers your question.

What is the lightest gram measurement the scale will read?

I tested the scale with 1 sheet of 8.5x11 of paper. It did not show any measurement. With two sheets it read .006kg and .2oz, with three sheets .0010kg and .3 oz, hope that helps. The scale will calibrate and zero itself every time you turn it on. I'm happy with my purchase. I measure letters and packages on it.

How long is the expandable cord?

The cord is the same as an old fashioned telephone handset cord. If it's not long enough you can buy any length you need at an electronics store or here on Amazon.

Is the box is too big, if it hangs off the scale, would it still be weighed properly?

The key to accurate weighing, regardless of box size, is that the center of gravity (balance point) of the box must be in the center of the scale tray with no part of the box touching anything else.
