ROKiT IO Pro 3D

Nice phone. Very cool packaging – not mentioned in the advert. The phone comes with a screen protector in place which is a nice touch. And a soft-shell clear case cover, that when clipped on is very discreet, so again a nice touch in the box. The phone itself has a good size screen, dual SIM, lots of memory 64GB (with a slot to put another 256GB if I want – although not sure I will ever fill the 64GB) and a big battery. It is sleek, and much more stylish than my old Motorola. Set up was super easy. All my normal apps, Waze, Email, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Spotify, Uber etc.. all work perfectly. The 3D is cool. I even found 3D videos on YouTube (it seems YouTube has a 2D / 3D setting). My kids really enjoyed the last Starwars in 3D courtesy of YouTube. So much so, I might buy them the smaller 3D ROKiT phone. Shame I could not take a picture of the 3D in action - you have to see it. Took it to the pub showed my friends and they all thought it was much more expensive than it is.. so that’s a bonus. A reasonably priced phone that doesn’t look cheap and plastic.

As a mobile geek I was intrigued by this phone, and it works very well, battery life is a big thing for me and easily a day and a half of use, your not going to get top of the range performance, but it's a £200 phone, overall a good budget phone with great after care included if you decide to take them. Great idea all round.

I've just received the phone today and half the features don't even work apparently the (rok launch control) has a newer version and name called 'rokit hub' well this is not showing on the device.. Tho when I find a way to get it on the device and create an account it will say account doesn't exist, so I'll sign up again same details tells me an account under these details already exists. So how do I rectify this issue? Really disappointed 😞 whole feature set of the phone doesn't even work Would have given 0 stars if was possible The company that created the phone don't even reply either Someone please help I can't find any info online to get it sorted

For years I always hoped for a media player, big on storage, with its own screen, good battery life and capable of recognising and playing all my media. Back then the Archos was the one to get even though it was limited to compressed video and a 32 gb hard disk. More recently I tried various iPod type players but they were still limited on storage and video type. Then I thought, what about a smartphone. Being totally ignorant of the possibilities of Android it was a steep learning curve when last year I purchased a refurbished Htc Evo, then bought a bigger battery and casing for it and fitted a 400 gig micro sd card. This meant it took all my media, videos, audio and reduced 3D blu rays. Unfortunately its built in audio is only a whisper at maximum and there are some other shortcomings. Then this March I ordered the Elephone 3D phone but it had a few major problems and I sent it back especially as I saw that a brand new 3D phone was about to be released. This of course was my "Pocket Rokit" This has everything I ever wanted. It has the same software as the Elephone, the only similarity. It is the 64gb Rom version and well worth the extra cost. The 3D effect is really excellent with e.g. David A's Kingdom of Plants, arguably the best 3D blu ray ever. Downsides: It comes with a case five times larger than necessary and no mains charger. I have yet to find a manual, maybe they thought one android phone is much like any other. Nevertheless it is amazing, you have to buy it to try it!

I ordered this phone for the 3d feature.Felt snappy when using it.You can see youtube in 3D its in the SBS format.Only problem is there is not much of a viewing angle so you need to keep phone still or you lose the affect.There is another problem if you holding the phone in portrait.There is a band of dark which is off putting unless you keep the phone at the right angle this is caused by the way the screen is made for the 3D.On the whole the phone is nice and snappy.The case is nice but bigger than need to be.The 3D effect is good.Didn't try the camera so cant comment.

Being a Samsung fan I spent a week looking before making the change. I was going to buy another note until I saw an article and this swayed me into trying another brand, this seemed to tick all the boxes and was a fantastic price. Opening the parcel was different because the box it came in is unusual and a nice surprise. Just picking the phone up it feels good and really impressed with the quality. Usual android set up so nice and easy. Message said to login for rokit apps which I did and all worked well, now need to use them. Was interested to see 3D video and frankly its unbelievable on a mobile phone. Checked it wasn’t just 3D and can play anything from You Tube so works like a normal phone as well. Impressive and different with the 3D.

the Good Points its light , the packaging is good , clear and sharp screen in 3D landscape and none 3D portrait , the earphone jack i was more interested in the 3D screen and its ok, like with all lenticular screens you have to find the sweet spot to see the 3D effect the Bad points ,i knew before i ordered the phone that it could not take true 3D photos ,as the phone does not have twin cameras in landscape like the old HTC Evo and LG optimus had , is pointless doing 3d photos in portrait when the phone only shows 3D in landscape and the portrait photo will look small in 3D the earth live wallpaper is just a Gimmick it isn't true 3D as the phone can only show 3D content in Landscape mode, so i changed the live wallpaper it as it is a battery drainer The IO PRO 3D User manual from ROKITs web site Not very good no guide at all on how to use the so called 3D camera no indication on how many microphones it has , if its only 1 then thats a bit dire if it dosn't record stereo with the movie camera in landscape so if viewed on a PC or TV the sound will be in mono Conclusion ; more thought could have gone in to the Rokit IO PRO 3D still its not bad phone for the price
