I researched this SanDisk extensively - the biggest surprise is the small size and weight of this player - it is small enough, it can fit almost anywhere. The clip works very well to attach the player wherever anyone would like - just be aware how lightweight the player is - you might forget where you placed it and accidently crunch it. I also read the complaints about it but at the price, I figured why not buy one. I am glad I did. The sound is excellent, the screen is large enough to easily see song titles and the controls are readily available. I did not have any problem setting mine up to use a micro SD card at all. As many radio stations are close by, I cannot fully review the long range radio capabilities of this player - however the radio stations I chose to listen to come in very well. I would highly recommend this player to anyone in the market for a great bargain.

I bought this player to replace another Sandisk player that I thought had stopped working. (Turned out it was okay). The old one didn't have a graphic display - only text. I thought it would be cool to have a color display with the album cover of the song being played. I was wrong. The display resolution isn't good enough to read the writing on the cover so if you want to see who the artist is you have to wait until the text line at the bottom of the screen scrolls up to read it. That text line is also harder to read than the text on the old player. The letters are white over a colored background and, depending on the color of the background, can be a little difficult to read. The old player had bold, bright blue letters that constantly displayed the artist and song title as well as a play progress bar.On the plus side, this new player has a longer lasting battery (almost twice as long but I didn't test it), and I think the song quality is a little better. The larger display and battery cause the unit to be a little larger physically but I didn't find this to be a problem.Overall, I felt the battery life and sound quality out weighed the display deficiencies. If I could get this player with the old display it would get 5 stars from me.

This device is SMALL, and light. I was very surprised. A bit small for people with larger hands, but I actually adjusted to it quickly enough. Perhaps the reason I stuck it out most was that it plays ALL the songs I have (including those from friends who have recorded things) while other players have said that there were copyright issues (on songs that my friends created!!). That more than anything won me over. Still, I can use it running and forget about the weight. And while navigating menus is fairly odd, how often are we navigating menus while driving or running (if you're doing that you're not focusing on what you need to be...). :)

Nice player, nothing exceptional, works as advertised.update: I started having problems with this unit about 9 months in. After charging it was hard to turn on and I had to hold the start up button for a length of time. Then the problem continued but I thought it would be ok. I have now owned this unit for a couple of days past a year and it does not respond or turn on at all. Don't waste your money. It will work for a time after you get it, but then you will have problems and it will stop working like mine did. Get an Apple IPod!

I love these little MP3 players. They are just not lasting very long. I had to send this one back because there was no sound. Another one arrived and within months I was unable to stop the player, or use the buttons to pause the book. Once again, I reordered another one, which arrived today. It cost more, but I am hoping it lasts longer. The player is so easy to use, set up, and download books to. I listen to a lot of books. Maybe I am just wearing them out! This time I bought the warranty.

I love this little music player. Use to listen to audiobooks (MP3 files) downloaded from local library. Seems to work well, though wish file management on the device was more user-friendly (though this may be as much due to download software as anything). Long battery life seems to be as advertised; have lost count of the hours of listening since last charge and battery indicator still indicates more than 50%.

Small size, plays well, has some nice features, and I love the clip-on option. The only thing is, there are a lot of cool aspects and details in this device that you might not need (there's a lot I don't really use) so I can't help thinking it could've been much cheaper if I went for something with less additional aspects apart from my music in "Folders". But that's my bad, I should've thought it over more. The product itself is really really good. I'm very happy with it.
