Does module respond to (A) key velocity [so louder if connected keyboard keys are pressed faster] and (B) sustain pedal [notes hold if pedal pressed]?

It receives MIDI signals including velocity, so yes it it touch sensitive. I have not used sustain but, as it is a MIDI signal too, I’m fairly certain it will work

Can this be connected to a pc using it's usb port instead of using a midi interface?

yes you can then run in your DAW as a midi

Does this work with 88 key midi keyboard or just 64 keys? What kind of speakers do you need to plug into it? Does the device power speakers?

It works with any keyboard with a USB MIDI output. It has inbuilt GM MIDI sounds that are triggered by the keyboard via USB It does not power speakers. You can plug headphones into it (3.5mm stereo jack) to listen or you can use the headphone output to connect to a powered speaker/amp or mixing desk (you will need a male 3.5mm to male 6.5 mm jack lead, and you may need a DI for level/impedance matching). It is a USB interface that triggers MIDI sounds audible by headphone or, with the correct leads, an amp or mixer amp.
