CasioMen's Vintage A168WA-1 Electro Luminescence Watch

There is just something so satisfying about this watch, I totally love it. The dimensions are perfect. It's the perfect combo of cheesy retro, low cost minimalist, while also somehow being classy and appropriate for any outfit and situation. It is very light and comfortable. The band is really thin and surprisingly nice quality. I have very hairy arms and was a little concerned with the band pulling hairs -- it does a little bit, but not too much, not enough for it to be an issue. For $20 on black Friday, It costs about as much as a meal at Chipotle... insane value.One minor drawback if I had to list one is that the display isn't fully legible at every angle. Again, not enough to really be an issue. You can still read the time but depending on the angle the numbers may not be as sharp.Overall, unbeatable value and price to enjoyment/satisfaction ratio.

Every single thing I needed in a watch and nothing I didn’t. I didn’t want a bulky watch and it had to have a comfortable stainless steel bracelet that I personally prefer. Also a back light was on my list. Price needed to be low as possible because I can destroy any watch due to my physical blue collar profession. It checks all of these boxes with a couple extra features like the chrono/timer and 12/24 hour. Looks great on my larger wrist (had to adjust the bracelet to the last notch but it fits my 8” wrist perfectly)

Classic Casio watch. Tells the time and has basic functions of a watch with the upgraded backlight (blue rather than a little yellow bulb).I am moving away from complicated smart watches as they really do not add much value for me and are pretty expensive.I purchased this for my wife as it’s on the smaller size for a man, it looked pretty small on my wrist and I don’t have particularly big wrists but my wife loved it. It was just the right size for her. She like that it was also light and easily adjustable.Since it’s reasonably priced if anything should happen to it we’re not too concerned about it. However, all my Casio watches have always lasted a long time so I’m pretty sure this will be the same.

I needed a new watch because smart watches are no longer allowed at my workplace. I don't know too much about watches (I don't collect or anything crazy like that) I just needed something nice looking and functional that can be worn everyday without worrying too much about the priceWatch arrived with a weird scratch on the underside, but otherwise works fine. The back lighting works well, and setting the time and date was easy. The strap has smaller links which gives it more adjustability than the A158 which is nice.As far as usage, it of course has the date and time as the main display, with the next mode being an alarm that has 4 different mode, and then a simple stopwatch.The alarm setting can be set as a silent alarm, a sounding alarm that will beep at your desired time until you stop it (by pressing the light button), a beeping alarm + a beep to notify when the hour has changed throughout the day, and the last just having the beep every hour.The beep at each hour is represented by the little bell icon in the top left and the alarm being on is represented by the lines or bar (maybe it's a volume symbol) at the very top left.Overall it's a nice watch for a really good price, stylish, and has enough water resistance to survive splashes from the rain and handwashing, some of my family members have the same watch and claim it can survive showers and light swimming, but why push your luck? It's built well with maybe just a bit of a gap where the battery cover is but I'll tighten down the screws myself a bit more just to be safe, I'm coming from a hefty samsung watch that had a rotating bezel so in comparison this watch feels pretty light on the wrist but not so much that you forget that you have it on.Would've rated it 5 stars but the scratch on the battery plate kinda killed my excitement to get the watch, i tried wiping it with an alcohol pad and a lightly dampened napkin but it's definitely just a weird scuff on it. Big sad :(
