Philips BT2200B/27 Shoqbox Mini Wireless Water Resistant Portable Speaker (Black)

I really just got this today, but I have had enough of these things to know what I am looking for in what I am buying.Other reviews will describe the good points just as well as I could, and this product does have a lot of Thumbs Up points for the design and durability. I just want to point out a few little things that are annoying about it, to conserve your time.The first thing you are going to wish for would be media control buttons. I realize the product does not say anything about having them, but maybe you did not notice. Be aware that you will not be able to change songs without voice commands. I do not know why this thing has a built in microphone, WHY? No media controls, but I can make a phone call from my shower... Who thought that that scenario was more likely... would you rather change a song, or call someone in the shower?I digress...Another thing you may want to know is that the device benefits greatly from an equalizer, so if your music player does not have one, this might sound kind of ... well like dookie. Has a bit of a distortion at higher volumes if an equalizer is not used to adjust the sound output.This is NOT SHOCKPROOF! I did not expect it to be, but when some people read "Use Outdoors" they assume a level of durability exists... do not assume that with this speaker. If you get caught in the rain, or take it in the bathroom to avoid steam damaging your phone, that is the intended purpose here. This thing is not intended to be dropped or smacked about.The final thing is one that I was a bit disappointed in. Here we have a decent brand name, and a lanyard slot... but the device does not come with a logo smeared lanyard. Not any strap whatsoever. I mistakenly assumed it came with a lanyard strap. I would think that for a brand name, they would want to bump you a little bit of accessory type dealio. Phones come with branded headphones, lots of stuff comes with a logo slapped thing. I should have read closer to see that I would need to grab a lanyard, till then it will need to sit on the back of the toilet while I shower, meh.All in all, the sound is very nice, and the device is really slick looking. I bought it for only two situations, and it will fit both very well. I would have liked media buttons, not many in the list to compare even had them though, so I suppose it is not a standard feature for these smaller one yet.I am sure other reviews will point out a great deal that they enjoyed about it, or workarounds people have used to get more functionality out of this. I will probably just make better playlists and bear with those songs I would want to skip, waterproof still doesn't make me want to handle it while bathing, and really how long is my shower that I need more than one or two songs? (Outdoor walks to Ingress however... totally defeats the point of keeping my phone safe from rain)Keep these things in mind, and you will have no real issues if you still decide this is the one you want.*Edited shortly later*The reception on this thing is ridiculous.If I put it between my legs it cannot keep connected to the Bluetooth on my PC less than 2 feet away.I took it into the bathroom, figuring that maybe sandwiched between my legs was just totally killing the signal... I didn't even have the door shut and it cut out. The kitchen is only about 10 feet away, and it cut out in there as well.I am used to occasional cutting out on other Bluetooth speakers and headphones, but not like... next to the device connected...I may give a few more test trials, but it already fails to continue playing music from my PC and Phone from a lot less than 10MThis could make me completely regret this purchase, I will have to read up and see if there is any user error involved, but this might be returned...

Not great sound, but better than listening to music on most cell phones. It has an application for portability and not a great financial loss if stolen or missing on a trip.

It is a very decent deal and the speaker is also quality.I would give it 4.5 stars, but don't want to give it 5.I have been in the market for a decent rechargeable Blue tooth speaker. Finally bit the bullet and got this one. I did not want to spend more than $150-200 for those super high quality speakers. I just want it for around the apartment and on my balcony.SO? really like it.Pros: Small, "water proof" never tested it out yet, good sound quality (indoor use only) looks good, connect to BT/phone quickly. it floats (so it says.) seems like the battery has a long life..Cons: Not loud enough for proper out door use. volume resets: if you listening to music via BT on phone, you get a text message, it's loud! and the music defaults to being super loud. (turning your phone to silent will help it, but not ideal) Bass is not great..BUT.. its a small speaker, i would rather have the good sound quality than rattling bass that's too much for the speaker.**the instructions say keep away from water/moisture.. the box says waterproof/floatable.. ** make up your minds, Phillips team of lawyers..neutral: as a little tab to attach a key ring/lanyard, nice! but did not come with one, so took one off my roku remote.it's a good buy! I recommend.

Clear, loud, high-quality sound for next to nothing!Whoever has claimed it has no microphone, in various questions here, is WRONG. It has a mic, but it's invisible. I use it all the time for Zoom and phone use, and have never had anyone complain about the mic quality.It works with a cord, which I prefer when pairing it with old devices (a 2007 iMac's Bluetooth connection isn't reliable) but with my Windows 11 machine the Bluetooth connection works perfectly (when W11's sound settings issues don't reset sound outputs automatically, but that's entirely a Windows issue solved by revisiting settings and/or a restart).A truly extraordinary product I use constantly and with many different devices of all sizes.

This unit seems to be a good quality little Bluetooth speaker. Typically out in my shop I just use my vehicles stereo system but when I need to have more room in the shop I use the little BT2200B/27. This unit has in the time that I have had it survived being knocked off the main work table several times, being knocked off my workbench twice, as well as falling into a partially filled bucket of coolant (took a lot of rinsing under low pressure and cleaning to take care of that issue.). Pretty much anything that can survive use out in my shop is something that I would recommend to others to try and the sound isn't bad when you consider the size of the unit (minimal distortion at higher volume). In a couple of situations which I do not recommend, I have even used the unit in a vehicle without a stereo system for listening to music as well as using it to make and receive phone calls while driving (No one I spoke with seemed to have any problems hearing me nor did I have any problems hearing those I was speaking with.).

Estaba indeciso entre esta bocina y una vtin. Al final me decidí por esta, ya que la marca es de prestigio y algunos demos en video me convencieron.Una vez que llegó (1 semana antes de lo previsto) me dispuse a cargarlo, ya que así lo recomienda el manual. Finalizada la carga; aproximadamente una hora tardo. Supongo que ya traía carga y solo se completó.Una vez eso, lo emparejé a mí celular. Fue muy rápido eso. De hecho se conecta muy rápido cuando lo enciendes y el celular lo encuentra.En cuanto al tamaño, es no muy grande ni muy pequeño. Más o menos del tamaño de una lata de refresco de 355 ml. El material de ve de buena calidad (lámina con plásticos). En cuanto al sonido, no es la gran cosa. Es decir, nada sorprendente. Con el control de volumen se controla el del celular. Es decir, no es independiente. Cosa que a mí no me agrada eso. (Tengo otras bocinas que su volumen es independiente al que maneja el dispositivo emisor). Bueno, tiene buen volumen para ser usado en un cuarto pequeño o regadera, que es para que lo compré. No lo recomiendo para exterior porque está muy limitado el sonido y graves.El mayor inconveniente que tiene es que no se puede cambiar de track con Los botones que tiene. De hecho ni tiene ni pausa/play. Solo puedes detenerlo manteniendo el botón de llamada pero no puedes hacer que siga reproduciendo.La única función que tiene es bajar y subir volumen. Aclaro que le busque la manera de cambiar de track, incluso combinando botones pero nada. Ese es un gran tache para este reproductor que promete ser excelente pero con carencia de todo lo que menciono.Tengo otros reproductores, incluso de marcas muy raras (chinos) y la verdad suenan muuuuy superior a este. El volumen es independiente, pueden cambiar de pistas, pausar y reproducir cuando se quiere. Hay uno de modelo "s9". Búsquenla si les interesa.Estoy pensando en devolverlo por qué no me convenció en lo absoluto. Ya que con ese precio me compro otro mucho mejor e incluso hasta más barato.

El motivo de mi compra fue tener algo para escuchar música durante la ducha sin temor a que se descomponga el aparato. Este articulo es acertado para esto resistente con buen sonido y fácil de conectar. No le podemos pedir mucho mas que eso, no es un sonido grandioso para una fiesta, tampoco tiene una conexión a tan larga distancia. Lo compre con un objetivo y para eso sirve muy bien pero no mas. Cabe destacar que el diseño es lo que mas resalta, único.

LLEGARON RAPIDO Y ANTICIPADO SUENAN MEJOR DE LO QUE PARECE , COMPACTAS Y LIVIANAS MUY BUEN PRODUCTO LES FALTO UN POCO DE GRAVES , PERO SERIA MUCHO PEDIR POR SU TAMAÑO Y PRECIO.
