Crosley CR8005A-RE Cruiser Portable 3-Speed Turntable, Red

I was a little worried about buying this product, due to reading the lower starred reviews...BUT I'm so glad I bit the bullet and did!The Crosley Cruiser is absolutely perfect for anyone who is new to vinyl and wants a small record player to start their collection.PROS:-It fits perfectly on my desk, so if you're like me and need to maximize space, then this is it for you.-Has great speakers! (I read a lot of reviews complaining that they were 'bad quality' and 'not loud enough' but to me they are perfect. They aren't going to give you the sound a $400+ set up will, but for a newbie, they rock.)-The slight white noise sound of vinyl is perfection, and sounds amazing on this little player. Honestly,people interested in vinyl, generally want that "cool vintage" feel to their favorite albums, and this player delivers perfectly.-Plugs into the wall; you never have to worry about batteries.-Highly adjustable volume (just turn the dial slightly)-Powered arm (so you don't have to worry about manually applying the needle and scratching the records)CONS:-Be careful to let the lid fall back as far as it can, if not the records will rub while they are playing. (*NOT a big deal, just a precaution for folks)-This may have been a personal dilemma, but my RED cruiser has a black felt background and it showed up kind of dirty...yeah, I don't know why, but I just wiped it off as best as possible and it was ok. This is more of a packaging/manufacturing problem I think.-**I'm honestly sitting here struggling for more "Cons" and am at a total loss** Looking the "cons" over, they are really actually tips and a small complaint on delivery. Not even really cons...I HIGHLY recommend this product. It doesn't offer the "absolute best sound ever", but it is a small, starter record player, and a fantastic one at that. In my opinion, it is loud (you can hear it all through my 1500 sq. ft. home with all the doors shut when it is at its highest volume). I have not had any problems with the arm, or needle, etc and I've owned it for about a month now, and have been using it frequently (few times a week for an hour on average).This record player is going to get you the most bang for your buck!

This little record player has its pros and cons. The sound quality is excellent when connected to an external sound system, but you WILL NEED an external sound system to connect it to, because the built-in speakers sound AWFUL. At the very least you'll want a couple of good speakers with RCA connectors or just use headphones. It does include 45 adapter, extra needle, and a turntable pad, so you won't need to buy any of that separately. I like the cool retro look, and the lightweight, suitcase design makes it easy to carry. But I would have liked having the option to run on batteries to add to the portability aspect the designers of this product were obviously going for. Overall, it's not perfect, but it's a good choice if you're looking for an affordable option for listening to vinyl. Added bonus: the box it comes in is the perfect size to store your vinyl LPs.

This was a gift for my Mom's recent 96th birthday. She is amazing for her age, but still with existing limitations,including technological ones, it's been difficult for her to listen to the music she loves. She owns some CD'S but other than than listening in the car, she rarely plays them. With a huge vintage Vinyl collection sitting unused and dusty, I was encouraged to purchase this "old-fashioned" style turntable from the other glowing reviews. I am happy to say..it was a HUGE success...she LOVES it!!!!!! "The best gift I could have given". She listens every day to her records while having dinner...it sits in a corner of the dining room...so very convenient. The sound is certainly not worthy of a concert hall, but for a normal size room..its has a really great sound...full...rich..warm..and real.There truly is nothing like listening to VINYL.( I loved it so much..I bought one for myself...only with more bells and whistles.) The vintage look is also wonderful(the red/black combination is great!!)....nice construction, and so lightweight if she needs to move it to another room of her choice....with a very solid easily gripped handle. All her friends were informed of her gift...and who knows, there might be a shortage of portable turntables very soon!!!

I received my turntable today. Something is wrong with the power cord, it will not turn on. Tech support is sending me a new power cord. 7-10 days. The unit is in great shape, looks easy to use and is not damaged. I like the red color. I was looking forward to patching it in to my home stereo. Now I'll have to wait. If the power cord is not the problem, I'll have to return it.

This is a great little player. The built in speakers are not that loud but do work fine in a small room. I bought this for my Dad who was trying to save space. We plugged in this player and were happy with it. But we were even more happy when we added some computer speakers with a subwoofer. As stated in other posts, the head shell is a little to light and will skip if the record is scratched too much. Take this anywhere and have Fun! And No This Is NOT an "Audiophile" piece of equipment. This is meant to have fun and to be portable. Enjoy!!

Al ver las opiniones malas que tenía el producto, estuve mucho tiempo mirando más y al final me decanté por este tocadiscos. Hasta que llegó pensé que seguramente habría hecho una mala compra y al llegar a casa, probarlo y verlo la verdad que estoy encantado. Siendo un usuario que va a escuchar música de vez en cuando, con un volumen normal.

Great way to get the kids back into "real" music playing. Speakers aren't particularly loud, but do enough and really bought a smile to our faces on Xmas morning

I veri intenditori rabbrividiranno, anche io non avendola provata ero scettica...Il sound non è, chiaramente, come quello di un impianto professionale ma è buono, anzi molto buono (d'altronde il sound del vinile non è e non deve essere perfetto).Tra l'altro volendo si possono attaccare delle casse esterne più potenti (senza casse aggiuntive il volume non è altissimo).In termini di design è veramente molto bella e attira molto gli sguardi e i complimenti degli ospiti.Il costo è contenuto.Insomma consiglio a tutti l'acquisto

I like everything about this product except I think the sound should be a bit better maybe a little more bass, but it plays my records well and it's a well made item for the reasonable price.

Consegna rapida (a 3 gg dall'invio dell'ordine). La qualità del suono ( buona) unita ad un design originale hanno soddisfatto le mie aspettative. Adatto a chi come me si approccia per la prima volta al vinile, portando un tocco di colore e design alla propria casa !
