Gendarme Eau De Cologne Spray for Men, 4oz. - Clean and Fresh Unisex Fragrance

It's hard to believe, but this has been my go to cologne for decades. I don't like all the weird fragrances that people find attractive today, and the pretense and pricing of them are RIDICULOUS. Not to mention that if you should say you like one of these new fragrances you have to listen to the wearer brag about how expensive it is. Yuck! Gendarme is a fragrance that says "clean" and doesn't enter the room before you do. The 10oz. cologne bottle's label says it's crisp, distinct and elegant. This is also true. It's a fragrance for adults because you'll never smell it in a room full of teenage boys and there's no dreaded back-of-the-throat tickle from the scent. Even if you use too much, in an about an hour, it becomes a subtle scent that says, "this person has bathed and smells good from having done so." I call it a hugging cologne because you have to get that close to smell it. In the 80's or 90's (it's been around even longer) LL cool J (James Todd Smith) went on a crusade to promote it without, I believe, any compensation because he loved it so much. That may give you an idea of my age, but don't be deterred by that. The scent is dependable, wearable, ageless and timeless.

I have loved this favorite cologne since I was 25 ,and I am 66 now . I think the highest I ever paid $90 for the 10oz bottle … now it’s $190 !!!! Wow , if I only knew it would sky rocket like this I would have stock piled it . Love it , but not that much …. Time to find another one .

I purchased the cologne for my son who has been using it for 12 years since he received a scholarship to Michigan university. It was there he discovered the cologne and need I say more?😊

the bottle is not full, the packaging is old, the cork on the lid was unscrewed

I probably bought 4 of these in 3 different occasions as it is my dad's favorite aftershave. Could also do with better packaging as the last orders I made was slightly ruined and one won't be good enough to be given as a birthday gift but overall a great buy.
