Fantastic and and great options!
These soups make SUPERB soup bases or good as is. For 50 years I’ve been using them! Great vegetarian/vegan/meat lovers options. Enhance with vegetable broth, meat or bone broth. Add veggies, variety of beans, herbs and spices if you want. Slow cooker for busy folks or stove top. Years ago, when we were struggling, my homemade soups and homemade bread often got my family through the last week of many months. Now, it’s just a great, simple, and wholesome meal! A GREAT value too!

My mother made soup with this mix. It was delicious! I use it to make soup for my family now. It’s still delicious!!

JUST LIKE MAMA USED TO MAKE
This is a delicious soup mix that's very versatile. It can be made just as it comes, for a thick (especially the next day), hearty soup.....or you can add a variety of meats and/or veggies to make it your own! Absolutely Delicious!!

Easy to order
Been using this mix for years, but getting hard to find at local stores. Amazon price was very good. BTW, I use this as the base for a wide range of soups, adding fresh veggies or meat bones.

Base ingredient for my favorite winter soup!
I have never used this product as instructed on package. Instead I have used my mom's altered version, adding just a few ingredients to make my Favorite comfort food!!Since I have used this product many times I will make one suggestion:Remove the Lima beans before cooking because they take forever to soften up!! Otherwise, good product.

WHERE ARE THE VEGGIES IN THIS VEGETABLE SOUP?
I am a big fan of this brand's Split Pea soups, but this is another situation entirely. It should be labeled Barley-Bean Soup. Whatever veggies and mushrooms are in here, they are listed at the end of the ingredients along with Canola Oil and Cornstarch. That tells you a lot. What it told me is that, despite following directions, it tasted like dishwater. Having no fresh veggies at hand, I had to add dried carrots, dried onions, chicken and beef bouillon, chicken and beef "Better than Bouillon," a can of black beans, and some dried herbs until it finally tasted like a decent soup. I could have bought a mixed bean mix and made my own soup from scratch. This is deceptive labeling. The product should be called Mixed Bean Soup BASE - ADDITIVES NEEDED.
