McCORMICK Ube Flavor Extract 20ml (Purple Yum)

This extract smells and tastes great, and just as I expected, will stain absolutely everything it touches. Mine arrived with one of the tops a tiny bit loose despite being well packaged, so there was a tiny leak, but I haven't removed any stars because of that as it seemed completely accidental and both bottles were individually wrapped with plastic on the top so the leak did not spread beyond the label of the one bottle. The color of the extract is gorgeous, SUPER purple! So far, I have only used it in pancakes just to test out how much to use to get a rich purple color, and a few drops is all it took. I am very happy with the quality of the extract so far and will be making ube cookies with it soon!

I love ube. I love being able to make anything ube flavored. these have a great flavor and are really great quality. They are the best quality ube extract that I have tested. The color is incredibly bright so concentration level goes a long way for color and flavor.

This is so good for coffee making. I made Ube sweetened condensed milk with it and used that for a hot latte and it was so good!! Can't wait to try it in an iced latte tomorrow!!

Heavy in color saturation. Literally stained my fingers. I could see using this as a food dye. Good flavor. One of the bottles had a broken seal and leaked.

Having a deep appreciation for the unique taste of ube, I was excited to incorporate this ube flavoring into my desserts. Regrettably, my enthusiasm was met with a series of disappointments. Inadequate Shipping and Handling: The initial issue was the shipping. The delivery took far longer than advertised, frustratingly arriving several weeks late. When the package did show up, it was in a pitiful state - severely dented and partly open, which was disheartening to see. Subpar Quality and Presentation: Unboxing further escalated my concerns. The bottle of ube flavoring was a far cry from its advertised image. It looked cheap and was not sealed properly, raising immediate doubts about its quality and the care taken in its production. It's challenging to trust a flavoring product when even the basic packaging standards aren't met. Flavor Far From Authentic: However, the most crucial disappointment was the flavor itself. Genuine ube has a distinctive, sweet, and earthy depth, but this product's taste was far from it. It had an overwhelmingly artificial, almost chemical-like sweetness, missing the natural, creamy essence of real ube. My attempts to use it in various recipes only led to an unpalatable, synthetic aftertaste, rather than enhancing the dishes with the desired ube flavor. Final Verdict: All in all, from the problematic and delayed shipping to the poor presentation and deeply unsatisfying artificial taste, this ube flavoring was a complete letdown. It failed to deliver the authentic and delightful ube experience I had hoped for. I regret this purchase and caution others against this product. It's a stark reminder that not all flavorings are created equal.

Loved this product! Smells so good, taste is perfect and it's nice to have a extract with a little spout so it's easy to use when measuring a teaspoon. Loved baking cookies with these. A little bit does a long way! Plus the color is always fun.

Came in leaking due to caps not being screwed tight. Haven't used it yet, though.

Great product

Used for a chiffon cake - amazing flavour as well as a beautiful purple colour.

Ordered this for Christmas but it got lost in the post. The company sent a replacement straight away. Used the Ube to make Paul Hollywood's Ube cake (I adapted the recipe somewhat though). It was beautiful and my wife and our friends really loved. Although it comes in only a tiny bottle, this is plenty big enough as the Ube is strong enough in taste and colour to last a long time.

I have been disappointed with taro bubble tea powders for making bubble tea at home. I now use a little of the ube flavouring and some milk in addition to the powder and it comes pretty close to shop bought taro tea. I am also going to try it for baking as I really like the flavour and the colour is beautiful.
