I enjoy backyard archery so I thought I'd try this little crossbow. It arrived quickly and was easy to set up. I watched a few you tube video's on assembling the bow and stringing it.....The instructions it came with were not very detailed at all so you tube was a big help. After that, it was easy to assembly and operate. It shoots very well (I was about 12 - 15 yards away from my target), especially after adjusting the sights. Hit several bull eyes right away. It came with 3 "nice" bolts that seem sturdy and have threaded tips. It also came with 24 more bolts that look pretty much identical, but the extra bolts are cheap and break easily (China made). One broke as it was shot, several broke when they hit the target (Hurricane). They were free, so no biggie, but it would be nice if they were stronger so they would last longer. I don't mind the plastic fletching breaking off, but the tips come off in the target sometimes and you can't always remove them. For this reason, I'm not using the free bolts anymore. Other than the cheap free bolts, this is a nice pistol crossbow and very accurate and fun to shoot. Also, be careful, this is not a toy. Don't let kids play with it without adult supervision.

Like most others, I was a little skeptical about buying this pistol crossbow for lack of quality and power. I was wrong. This Pistol Crossbow is very powerful. The quality is fairly good. ASDEMBLY The instructions for assembly are kinda vague, but not hard to figure out if you have any kind of mechanical aptitude skills what-so-ever. They recommend two people required to bend the bow for string assembly. Well that might be true unless you have a workshop with a medium sized table mounted vice on it. That's what I used to hold my crossbow when I hooked the string. It was difficult at first, until I decided to use a 1" wide heavy duty ratcheting tie down strap. Used it to bend the bow back enough to attach the string. ACCURACY Out of the box, it needed adjustment. Not too much. Once I tweeked the rear sight, it stayed consistant for 30+ shots at about 10 yards. I moved back to 20 yards and still accurate with 30+ shots fired. BOLTS Like all the reviews for ALL of these cheap pistol crossbows, the included aluminum bolts are breaking after just a few shots, and other users recommend to nuy the plastic bolts. So I did. I ordered the 60 count pack. Thirty of them are black and thirty are a yellowish puke green color- sure to get lost in grass or weeds or dirt.I So I spray painted the fletch ends "HOT PINK" color to easily find them. I had the metal tip of two of my plastic arrows came off. Might be from removing it from my cardboard box target? RECOMMEND Yes. I recommend this fun pistol crossbow to anyone (over 16 yrs old). Definitely not a TOY. Advise to have adult supervision at all times. My9 yr old daughter shot this with me, but she is unable to cock the weapon by herself.

I give this 4 stars because the crossbow itself is worth every penny. It comes with 3 bolts that i shot over and over again with no problems. The problems began as soon as i opened one of the two "extra" packs of bolts. Although they look identical to the 3 that came with the crossbow, EVERY one broke. Im not too upset about it but make sure you wear your eye pro, because when they hit the stack of cardboard i have been using as a taget, the black plastic "fins" go flying and could possibly cause injury. All in all im very happy with the weapon and it's 3 original bolts. The "extra" bolts are NOT reusable. This item also arrived a day late, but when i contacted amazon, they applied a 20% discount for the inconvenience. Im sure you could probably find the exact same crossbow for cheaper if you dont want the "one time use" extra bolts. My 4 stars go to the quality of the crossbow and the quality of the customer service i recieved from amazon. Also i would like to say that this is not a toy, it definitely has alot of power behind it. If this is going to be a present for a child, i believe the child should be supervised at all times and the child should also have knowledge of firearms etiquette. Trust me, "you'll shoot your eye out kid." ....forgpt to mention that the string comes already waxed. Not sure about the extra string as it comes in a separate package and i have not opened it yet. I do however suggest purchasing some wax if you dont already have some, and dont use chapstick lol ...also i added a 10 dollar red dot sight and it is surprisingly accurate, depending on who the shooter is of course. My 7 year old son manages to put a bolt through the same hole almost every shot and can almost cock it himself.

The cross on the crossbow splintered apart (top section) on both sides, when I tried to string it. It still holds but didn't expect that from a brand new, out of the box product. The set up was easy and it shoots as expected.

I give it a 5 so it will stay at the top....2.5 shots.......band broke with the "plastic" spring load..........just buy a real crossbow!.....sad :(

The crosbow itself seems sturdy and well crafted, but the string itcame with is too short to attach to the bow, so I used the spare that was sent with it, it was long enough to attach to either side of the bow, but immediately after firing off a few arrows, the string started unraveling, and rapidly dwindled into nothing, I've only had the crossbow for a week. That is my only complaint with the product. I'm not sure where I can find another string but I am looking.

What a fun amazing crossbow! My 11 year old loves it! He has spent countless hours outside perfecting his aim. When assembling it would be advised to have an adult to help string it, but after that it is ready for use. This crossbow is powerful. It packs quite a punch into our foam target. I feel positive about it being an amazing for hunting small game and would even go so far as to say it would drop larger game if accurately aimed. This is not a toy. For the price, it has been a real gem of a crossbow. Easy to use, light to hold, and safe.
