A good kit
I'm a beginning model-maker, so I am not an authority. But I did fly the C-130 E and H models and know about the airplane. The parts mostly fit well. There are many very tiny parts, which adds complexity to the build but adds to the satisfaction of a good project. The rear paratroop doors and the rear ramp were a poor fit. The instructions were clear and offered extensive camouflage painting schemes.

Very Poor Manufacturer Support
The overall fit and finish of the parts leaves something to be desired but nothing that could not be remedied with some sanding and filler putty.My biggest issue with this kit is with Italeri. My kit arrived with several parts separated from the sprue in the one single bag that everything was packaged in. Among the parts were 2 damaged propellers. One was separated from the sprue all together. Both had broken propeller blades. Italeri has a section of the plans that appears to be a mail in damaged parts mailer sheet. One can also go to the Italeri web site and submit a kit problem. I did the latter as snail mail between central USA and Italy would take a good bit of time. The first response I had back from Italeri was the 2 propellers could be purchased for 6 Euros. I responded back that I had already purchased the parts in the kit and was not inclined to re-purchase them. Granted, 6 Euro's is not a whole to of money but it's the principal. After 6 days I finally had another response from Italeri telling me to contact the importer into the USA. That pretty much solved any future problems for me. I will never purchase another Italeri model kit and with that kind of customer support, I would suggest anyone else not purchase any Italeri kits. Who knows what parts would be damaged in their poor packaging.
