Puedo sembrar el lemon grass asi como me lo envia Amazon, o deberia ponerlo en agua por unos dias hasta que tenga raiz y poder transpartarlo en una ma

Hola!! La verdad no se si podría o no sembrarlo así, esta fue mi primera vez q yo lo compro, pero lo q si puedo decir es q yo aun lo tengo en agua y sus raíces ya crecieron más.... creo q para este punto ya están listas para ponerlas en una masetera.... espero mi respuesta le de una idea o le ayude en algo, gracias!

Cymbopogon citratus, commonly known as West Indian lemon grass or simply lemon grass, is a tropical plant native to Maritime Southeast Asia and introduced to many tropical regions. Oh say it isn't so Capitan John, just say it isn't so. Yes it is, I ordered it before and it came to me so fresh. It's good to try new things some time, and lemon grass is one of them. I used it to roast a nice delicious pork belly. It goes well with many dishes.

How long does the lemon grass keep?

I have plants in the ground and in pots. In the ground they freeze unless well protected but pots of lemongrass inside keep growing if watered consistently and in a sunny spot. Our cat loved it. The grass can be cut at roots before winter and put in fridge to use whenever you wish but they will also grow roots in a little water and then can be planted in pots or in the ground for more plants.

can these still grow roots and be planted?

Probably. You would have to put them in water for a few days to a week so they can sprout some roots. It also depends on where you live - it should be warm all year. I used to grow lemon grass in southern CA, but I'm in NY now and they died in the winter 
