Bought to renew my current carried key. Parts are not interchangeable so cannot use backing on original key. I was able to change out the worn key pad and replace it with this one.

Very happy with purchase. Simply have the blank cut at the locksmith from the key you already have, (most stores and hardware places can't or won't cut the key) then transfer the transponder or "chip" from inside the old shell to this new one. This is also a good time to replace the battery. Mine was worn down, buttons worn off and key ring hole was broken, so now it looks like I have a new key. Like it says this is just the blank shell but it also came with a tiny screwdriver and Chrysler sticker for the back.

I ordered this key as a replacement because the key ring loop has broken on both of my jeep keys. Carrying my key separately in my pocket is a pain because it is always getting lost. This new key looks just like the original. I haven't had it cut yet but I'm sure it's easy the package came with a mini screwdriver as well very satisfied

I bought this set because my rubber buttons had ripped and the back screw had been stripped from needing to re-solder the chip too many times. So I have not cut the key have no idea about that, but the parts I needed worked as expected. Small phillips that comes with it is handy too.

Key is good quality and it even comes with a little screw driver. I only used the buttons and the new screw because it doesnt have a Jeep logo on it. It came with some type of knock off Chrysler logo.

I had the dealer cut the key which they did at no charge. My original key had a broken button, and this worked perfect for a replacement. Took about 2 minutes to transfer the chip.
