UTC Fire & Security NX-470 SAW 4-Button Keychain Touchpad (60-659-95R)

My wife's keyfob broke after some heavy use and I was in need for a quick replacement but didn't want to spend a lot of money on the OEM. This unit met my needs at perfection.Unit arrived quickly by Amazon's Vendor DG Surplus and I had it setup within 5 minutes.The instructions for the Simon XT were found in the web and I recommend you search for your specific system as they tend to differ.This unit supports multiple systems so the instructions will be different.For the Simon XT- Cycle thru the menu and select 'System Programming'- Enter Code (Make sure to enter the Installer Code - for Simon XT is 4321)- Cycle thru until you find Sensors- Hit the Sensors option, then Learn Sensors- Select the option given for trip sensor- On the remote, press the lock/unlock button simultaneously- Thereafter, make sure the trip sensor is on Grp 1.All set.

The keychain works great - when you get it programmed into your system (Ge Simon). Oh and by the way it came with instructions in Chinese!Had a problem finding the code to install it as it's not the master code - you have to use an installers code which is different. Once I found the code (which my security company didn't have)I was able to install it. NOTE - you must install it in group 01 - there are instructions floating around the internet to install it in 10 WHICH IS WRONG - if you install in 10 - your system will search for it even if you take the keychain out of the house and you will get a system malfunction.

Configured one of these for a home security system (GE Concord), and another for a business perimeter alarm system (NX-8V2). Easy to install, has a pretty decent range, inexpensive. Considerably less work than programming a delay and entering in a key code. The battery is a common type (2032) - simple to replace, last a long time.Documentation for 'learning' these devices - well, you'll have to rely on the documentation for your particular alarm system.

Purchased one because old one was too beauty after about 10 years of use. A little pricey though, that's the reason for the 4 stars, but works great and has good range

Have had this key fob for 3 years now and it still works great. We actually have 4. One for each family member.The customer service at AVSX technologies that I got it from via Amazon is incredible . I got my whole GE Simon XT security system from them and haven't had any problems

Even after I emailed the seller on this product to ask if it would fit with my system AND he told me "sure, no problem......It doesn't work. You need a masters degree in engineering to figure out the instructions and I have to have the TECH from ADT come out and program it which will cost me another $25 on top of the $39 I paid. So much for quick and easy. Misleading and not a good product

I accidentally washed my jeans with my keys in my pocket. Not good for an alarm box. So I found a new one on Amazon. It is brand new and works great. I received it quickly in prime condition. Amazon is the way to go.
