People complaining about bad boards probably burnt them out.
Awesome little kit. Everything worked the way it should right out of the gate. If this is your first time using one of these, keep in mind you WILL burn your stepper drivers if you power them up without a motor attached. This is true for any of these types of drivers. There has to be a load to take the current being ramped up. If it has nowhere to go, it will burn your driver. I assume a few of these reviews probably plugged the shield and drivers in and powered it, inadvertently burning their drivers. Then when they hook the motor up, it doesn’t work and they assume they got a junk board. Don’t be that guy. Happy CNC’ing!

One star short of perfect .. wish I could buy this set with TMC drivers!
This is a good set, and works as advertised, but unfortunately both driver options are loud rather than silent. I had to buy 3rd party drivers (TMC 2208's) to get the level of quiet I was after here. I'd prefer if I could pay more to get better drivers instead of these extras I don't need.

Bad drivers bad board rite out of the package
garbage ..Ive used many of this style shield.This one is junk dont work.
