What can I say - I bought a used vacuum Dyson DC24 without the little roller or End Cap. Amazon came through and my bargain was brought up to speed with this little device. It worked perfectly just as designed. I can see how careless handling might detach this unit and the roller - and they get lost in transit. For the price and the correct fit - you will restore your Dyson to functionality and clean up your house if not your act. This type of product is why Amazon is amazing, and we are grateful for it.

Fixed the problem I had on my DC24 vac. This is a wear item apparently. And I learned from diagnosing the prolem and fixing it that there is a second filter in the roller drum. Who knew? LOL

I have owned and love my dyson vacuum DC 24 for about 5 years now. I have had issues with the roller brush bar in the past. Previously I paid double for this product and didn't replace the roller brush itself. I have very long hair and I shed like crazy. After much reading and watching you tube how to videos so decided I would give it one last shot and invest in the replacement parts instead of a new vaccum. I ordered the brush bar from dyson they Amazon but found the end cap from this company. I was a little worried it might not be an oringinal manufacture part but I can honestly say they look identical to me. I had no problem replacing both parts without any tools. And my vaccum works as good as new! My advice to anyone is if you are going to change parts replace both of them together. I believe my brush bar was already out of balance and caused the first end cap I replaced to wear out quickly it only lasted a 6 months. I was able to save lots and only spend $17 instead of $400 for a new vaccum.

I have an older model Dyson that’s works well and I have been trying to keep it running. I have a lot of long hair in my family that gets tangled easily in the vacuum cleaner. I did some digging and found the parts that work. I have ordered this one a few times and for the price it keeps me from having to by a new vacuum cleaner

For anyone who has had issues with the replacement end cap not fitting properly - When I received the end cap and went to replace it, it would not fit at all. What I found was there was pieces of the old end cap that had eroded into the end of the roller bar, and was not allowing the new end cap to make a good fit. I took a small flat-head screwdriver and carefully removed all the debris from around the end of the roller bar where the end cap is inserted. I was surprised as to how much came out. Once I cleaned the end of the roller bar, the end cap fit perfectly snug. BE SURE to Check the end of the roller to be sure the end cap snuggly can be inserted!

**update - bought the piece in March. It’s now August and the piece has stopped holding the brush in place. I’ve had my dyson for 10+ years and this piece finally eroded and came apart. It was an inexpensive part - but as another reviewer noted, the ‘locking’ mechanism doesn’t really work. I was destroying it trying to lock it so I just left it unlocked - the part snapped into place so hard I thought I had broken it then too ( I didn’t) …. So it’s not a smooth fit and you cannot lock it but it holds the brush in place which is what I needed. If I ever need to replace this again I will go with another option to see if it fits better.
