Silent fan with awesome design
I had my Orient fan still in warranty but due to noise issues from shaft/ball bearing and failed service attempt by their customer care desk, I decided to ditch my orient fan to Luminous ceiling fan. This was my first Luminous purchase other than inverter battery and I was right. This fan is silent to its core and there is no noise from shaft or ball bearing.. it's just the sound of air displaced by fan blades. I have tried this fan at all speeds from 1 to 4(max) and it's awesome. I find the fan speed is also better than any base model.#Update after 8 months of usage: it's still the same. The fan is dust repellant. I am happy with my purchase.

PATHETIC EXPERIENCE!!!
Do net get fooled by the looks like I did by purchasing this fan. Right from the next day of installation , it started very annoying clicking sound. You cant run it in full speed at night otherwise your sleep will be ruined by the sound. Called luminous customer service twice and they send enginners to inspect but then Nothing happened. The sounds is getting uglier day by day. Register a complaint 3rd time and this time they agreed to change the fan blade that they are anticipating causing the sound issue, but it's been 1 month since I am waiting for them to replace the blades. Had replaced this fan with previous Crompton one. Which is the the biggest mistake I've ever had. That fan never given me any trouble for 5 years! Will never buy any product from Luminous!!

Gentle cool breeze - good quality build
Purchased recently and used it for few days. The materials are of high quality and its mostly silent. It looks awesome too.

Just an average fan with good looks
Ordered this for the unconventional looks. Yeah, this looks good once mounted. It is pretty average in terms of performance. Did not find any difference in air throw over the old, simple and a very regular fan. Two downers for me (1) it started making noise as if the bearing is worn out only after using it for about 3 to 4 days and (2) The shackle provided in the box was deformed and was unsafe to mount the fans as it wobbled a lot. Had to retain the shackle from the old fan for this new one. Overall the product does not justify the price.
