I have tried several other replacement handles for our old Rival SCV551 oval shaped crockpot, They all failed in less than a year, and looked/felt cheap and would never stay tight. The Melzon handle is superior due to more durable material, larger size, and silicone rubber gasket that goes between the screw and the glass, which allows the handle to be tightened snuggly. The handle is a good size to hold and does not move (spin) when picking up the lid and turning it to the side. Even if this handle breaks I would buy it again over most other options available.

I was so disappointed when the handle broke on my crock pot lid which I had received as a Christmas gift. I thought I would have to buy a whole new lid. So I went to Amazon looking for a lid, when I found this replacment handle for the lid. The reviews sounded good so I thought I'd give it a try. Boy, am I glad I did. This handle works great, even better than the handle that came with the crock pot. This is a very high quality product and seems like it's going to last a long time. Some of my friends were over for dinner and we were talking about how I made the meal in my crock pot. A couple of my friends mentioned they didn't use their crock pots any more because the handle on the lid had broken off. I showed them mine, and they've already ordered the one I got from Amazon. I think if you need a new handle for any pot, you will be happy with this one.

For years I had pot lids with broken handles and i had to pry them open with a fork and carefully lift them with pot holders. I didn't realize you could replace the handles! You can easily and cheaply do so with these handles. They work well and don't retain heat, haven't burned myself on them yet. A couple of minor downsides; I did have one break when i dropped the lid. Also, they have a tendency to collect water under the lid if you submerge it when washing. You just have to be careful to loosen/drain the water. Otherwise, I am happy with these and have bought several. I keep one on hand in case a pot lid needs a replacement.

I have the Crock-Pot Model SCVP603 and the handle had broken off. It is an older unit and I could not find any replacement parts for it online. I took a chance as no one on Amazon had said it would work for the 603, but it does work. It is a really good crock pot that has lasted years and hopefully more years to come as it has a handle again. I am not the handiest person in the world, so it took a few tries, but the handle is now on solid and strong. The silicone washer will fit in the steel washer and then you press them together to get them to fit tight into the hole. It has to be pretty solid because the screw is not that long as comes to the edge of the steel cover, so it needs to be exact for the screw to fit into the black handle to tighten it and then you can tighten the phillips head screw and the handle will work properly and it should not be loose.

My most favorite pot in the whole wide world lost it's handle :( I made my husband drive me around to all of the thrift shops in our area and the surrounding area to look at the random pot & pan lid bin looking for a lid with a handle that would work for MY pot. No luck :( My pot is very large and wide. I couldn't find a replacement lid for it. I used my crab pot lid but it still didn't fit right and in turn didn't cook the way I wanted it to. We figured that we might be able to find some random lid that had a handle that we could take off and use it to replace my broken one. All of the handles that we can across weren't the correct size to fit my pot or were made of plastic. Since my lid is a heavy, large and wide, and made of glass, we couldn't have a piece of flimsy plastic to trust when picking the lid up. I was quite surprised that my husband had found this replacement here on Amazon. He's getting to be quite familiar with shopping here! It arrived quickly and my husband attached it right away. It fit perfectly without any modifications and my pot was back in action!

This little handle has lengthened the life of my crock pot. I've had my crock pot almost 10 years and it works perfectly except the plastic handle has been cracked for years. Finally, the handle gave up and snapped off leaving a screw in the top of my glass lid. When I used the crock pot it would heat the screw up so I couldn't touch it with my hands and even when it was cool, it still was extremely hard to grasp onto. I was ready to throw out the crock pot and buy new, grateful it had lasted as long as it did. However, my husband was far more resourceful than I and shopped for a replacement handle. It was only a few dollars and shipped quickly. Once it arrived, we unscrewed the old screw, lined up the handle and screwed it on tight. 10 seconds later, I had a perfect handle for my crock pot. So glad I didn't have to replace the actual crock pot since it wasn't broken. I would highly recommend this for anyone who finds themselves in the same predicament. Don't throw out your crock pot!! Just replace the handle :)

This replacement knob worked perfectly, and is very easy to install. I have a 5qt round Crockpot and the original handle cracked in half. This knob fits the lid perfectly. One thing to note is that the knob handle is more substantial than the typical crockpot knob handle – it's wider so there's more surface area to grip when removing the lid (which is really nice!); it's also taller than the typical crockpot knob handle, so I have to turn the lid upside down when storing my crockpot on the shelf that I use...not a big deal to me, but just wanted to mention it. All in all, this is a great product for a great price!! Highly recommend.

Fast delivery and product is excellent. With the silicone washer it makes a nice and snug fit in the hole. Great universal lid handle. Very happy i could replace the handle and not the whole pot and lid. The screw was the right length and the grip is good on the handle.

Smart-looking and with metal parts rather than plastic. The previous, cheaper lid handle that I bought broke after some months of use. This one both looks good and - hopefully - will last longer.

After the knob that came with the slow cooker broke, my daughter tried to get a replacement but with no luck. I found this one at Amazon and it fit to a T. Great Value. No more burnt fingers lifting off the cover.
