After a number of years, the zipper slide on my favorite hooded sweatshirt broke. This is a quilted, heavy duty Craftsman sweatshirt that's quite warm and no longer available. Good quilted sweatshirts are quite pricey these days.Anyway, I couldn't zipper it up and was reluctant to get rid of it. So I searched on Amazon regarding zippers and saw this listing. It had a large number of reviews and most were rated quite highly. I read the negative reviews first to see what troubles people had with the product. Most of the negative reviews indicated that the slides didn't work for their applications. On the other hand, the positive reviews seem to indicate that the slides worked well. So I decided to give this a shot. With Amazon Prime, I could always return the package if things didn't work out.It was quite easy to install the new slide. The whole repair operation took maybe 15-20 minutes. If I had to do it again, it would be half that time. The provided instructions were quite good. The only issue I had was finding the correct slide to use. I tired a few different ones that I thought would work, but they were too tight and didn't close the zipper correctly. Finally on the third try I found the right one (#5). It worked perfectly. My sweatshirt zippers closed again. I'm quite pleased.

Needed this kit to fix a zipper which saved me from having to replace a jacket. It was easy to use and did the trick. Now I have to find 250 other zippers that need repairing (a lot of pieces to the kit).

The item itself is great. Good quality and options. DOES NOT have starter box, which I learned is what I needed. 😅

Great zipper replacement kit. I like it gives you 252 parts. Several different kinds of zipper replacements that should work for most standard size zippers. It also comes with a toolto use for the parts making it easier. Clear instructions. A great kit for my sewing/repair kit. They seem durable and work well when installed

Not a bad kit except there was only one of the exact type (H) of the zipper I need the most and it was the only one that came broken (slit in 2 pieces) right out the box.

made one repair to winter coat (about 75$) at store plus trip to store.cost was marginal for componets and still have enough left for more clothes

Fantastic zipper repair kit! It had so many pieces for my projects! Everything was so well wrapped and labeled. The instructions were so clear and easy to follow! What a great product!

So worthless. I bought this to fix several items that have broken through light the years I've set aside. One rain jacket, a soft cooler, and a headphones case. Don't let the "multiple types" fool you. I tried every zipper and they all are flimsy and don't zip well. Not to mention, I needed the actual real zipper stop that has a slot for the rain jacket and this kit doesn't include that. Even still, it doesn't work and clasp the nylon teeth together. Not on the jacket, not on the cooler, not on the headphones case. They simply are flimsy and not precise to spec to zip the teeth in correctly. No, the teeth aren't broke either. It's just the zippers broke after years of use. Spend more. By the name brand. (I know, I sound rough on gear, but I really am not. I just have used these items regularly for years and years and I don't like wasting and buying something new that can be easily fixed)...or so I thought.
