Evaporative Cooling Vest, Wearer Stays Cool and Dry, Breathable Comfort, Pull Over Design, Ergodyne Chill-Its 6687

We waited to long to try them now I can't return them. It only stayed cool for a 1/2 hour or so in the sun, then it became warm. I bought 2 of them, one for my wife & myself. Now I'm stuck with them. What a waste of money.

I have tried it for a construction site in Saudi Arabia summer. It is truly a good product and not a marketing gag. It keeps your body noticeably cooler than ambient, about 10 degrees cooler. Of course do not expect it cools arm, face, legs, which it does not cover. I then purchased another one for my wife. Some user hints: do not overfill, it works best with 400 ml per load as specified, just fill more water every 2-4 hours. Iced water does not help, since the vest is based on extracting heat from your body when EVAPORATING water, thus cannot be ice cold. And one very, very important untold hint: DO NOT use it seating in car or office, as the pressure of your back against the seat will make it overspill and leak through the small evaporatimg offices. Then it loses the entire dry cooling charm and you end up with a soaked back. Having said that, for standing works it is just perfect, and it is quite hot here in summer (Vegas would feel like a snow resort). At least with the very dry heat here. Perhaps lower performance in Singapore or Florida with very humid air rendering vest evaporation less effective. 4 stars due to the back leaking, otherwise i would give 6 stars.

I have answered multiple questions about this ice vest so I thought it would write a review and answer them here so people would know about it. YES it works. My son had a heat stroke in the past which made him very sensitive to the sun and heat. He uses the vest to cut the grass and to play tennis. I recommend getting a size larger than you usually wear as it runs small. I also prefer the Velcro over the zipper. Hope this helps.
