EMINEM RECOVERY (F) Review: Eminem's Best - In my opinion, this is Em's best album ever. I love all his albums (except "Encore"), and I still think this is his best. I even liked "Relapse", which many fans did not. However, I can still tell he was just getting off drugs, and it was a hard period for him during "Relapse". But with "Recovery", he comes back full-throttle. 1. Cold Wind Blows (10/10): Kick-ass song. It is the perfect opener for the album. It shows that Em is back on track, and that this is his real return. He goes hard on this song, and it is definitely the kind of song that makes me want to get up and dance (but I don't, because I'm a terrible dancer. Take my word for it). 2. Talkin' 2 Myself (10/10): Very personal song from Em. He opens the song by thanking the fans for baring with him over the past few years. He talks about the struggles he went through during his hiatus. He even talks about almost dissing Lil Wayne due to his jealousy. The song is all-around great, and the chorus sung by Kobe is catchy and perfectly fitting. 3. On Fire (2/10): I've never liked this song from my first listen, and I've listened to it many times in attempt to like it, but I just can't. The beat is boring, and it doesn't go anywhere. The lyrics are good, but the song is just boring. The chorus is quite weak, as well. 4. Won't Back Down (4/10): When I first heard Em and P!nk were collaborating on a track, I thought to myself "Oh no". Well, I still feel that way. Although the song has pretty good lyrics and Em goes pretty hard on this track, P!nk ruins the track for me. The chorus is obnoxious and doesn't fit the beat at all. In fact, I also think the beat is a bit too loud and obnoxious, as well. 5. W.T.P (10/10): Hey, welcome back Shady! But really, this is the first song on the album where I believe Shady makes a full return (though I think the Slim Shady persona was partially present in Cold Wind Blows). A very old-school Eminem track. Very catchy chorus, simple but very clean-sounding beat, and awesome lyrics. 6. Going Through Changes (9/10): I had to let this one grow on me a bit, but I love it now. I mainly had to let the chorus grow on me, not so much Em's verses. It is a very personal song about Em turning his life around, and the struggles of doing so. 7. Not Afraid (10/10): I'll never forget when my friend Ryan sent me this song. It was the first song I heard from "Recovery". I can't lie, it almost brought me to tears. It was this song that made me think "Finally, Eminem is back for good". I felt so proud of Em, and his maturing was extremely evident in this song. It is all-around amazing, and I love the fact that he reaches out to his fans. 8. Seduction (8/10): A pretty good song. This was another grower for me, but I do enjoy the track now. However, it is definitely not my favorite on the album. Very sexual song with great lyrics, but the beat seems to be lacking a bit. Still, a good track. 9. No Love (8/10): Now let me just clear this up: I am no Lil Wayne fan by any stretch of the means. However, he does a *passable* job on this track. The choice on sampling Hathaway on a rap song was a very interesting one. However, here it works well. 10. Space Bound (10/10): One of my very favorites on the album. I'll never forget the night I was in a car accident with my friend Tom. It was only days after "Recovery" was released, and this song was playing. Since then, I've been extremely attached to this song. I love the guitar work in it, Em's verses are tight, and the chorus is amazing. Just a beautiful song. Love it. 11. Cinderella Man (10/10): Another very Slim Shady-esque song. The beat is simple yet very catchy, and it has some great lines. Another one of those songs that just makes you want to get up and dance. 12. 25 To Life (9/10): Great chorus, great lyrics about the whole rap-game. I don't really have much to say about this one, it's just a great song. 13. So Bad (10/10): This is the most old-school Eminem track here. I've loved this song from the first listen. The lyrics are awesome, but what I really love is the chorus. It has a very mellow feel to it, and has some nice guitar work in there. I just love this song over-all. 14. Almost Famous (9/10): Great song about when Eminem was starting out, and he could feel himself reaching fame. Pretty much that "Almost there!" feeling. 15. Love The Way You Lie (9/10): A song about a dysfunctional relationship. Em shows some great anger here, and Rhianna's chorus is very fitting. 16. You're Never Over (10/10): A very heartfelt tribute to Proof. Although the chorus is a bit weak, it doesn't matter. The meaning is there 110%. A very nice tribute, and I'm sure Proof is proud of Em for having the bravery to release this song. 17. Untitled (8/10): Almost sounds like a freestyle. It has great lyrics, and Eminem is pretty much on fire, but the song itself doesn't seem to go anywhere. I mean it isn't terrible, but it's not my favorite here. Then again, I wasn't even aware that this song was on the album when I bought it, so I can't complain. Still decent. 18. Ridaz [Bonus Track] (9/10): Pretty good song. Not a slower song, but it is somewhat slower-paced. Has a simple beat, but it is catchy. Has a catchy chorus, as well. 19. Session One [Bonus Track] (10/10): Really bouncing track here. This one took quite a few listens before I liked it, but I like it alot now. It is a hard track, and Slaughterhouse does a very good job on this track. Welp, that's my honest opinion on "Recovery". Take care! Review: Eminem has finally shown his true talent. - For years Eminem has only had his pain and anger from the problems with his mother and ex wife to rap about. Now that he has went through the hardships of life and gotten all of that out of the way he's rapping about real things. I have been a lifetime fan of Mathers, I have never fully hated any of his albums yet at the same time I felt he was just dragging on his effort. I do not buy many cds anymore but after hearing a few of the songs on this album I rushed out and bought it. Eminem in my humble opinion is now better than he ever has been and it shows in the production and effort he put into this album. 1. Cold Wind Blows 8/10: Eminem tries to be a bit comical while still hard in this track and does a decent job of both. Good song but not great. 2. Talkin' 2 Myself ft. Kobe 10/10: This song is very engrossing and draw you into singing the chorus along with Kobe. I never heard of this guy before but the track was very effective and enjoyable. 3. On Fire 4/10: Not going to say anything bad about this track however, it does not have a very good feel to it for me. Make your own assesment. 4. Won't Back Down ft. Pink 8/10: This song is a very good collaboration between the two of them. However I think the choice of Eminem to add in Pink after the track was recorded was a bad idea as it just doesn't quite mix. 5. W.T.P. 7/10: Old school Eminem type song yet you can tell he put some effort into making his rhymes meaningful unlike older songs where he simply made us feel stupid for listening to it. 6. Going Through Changes 11/10: This song was simply amazingly put together. First of all you'll notice the sampling of Ozzy in this song. It was a suprise to me but it melds pefectly and makes the track flawless. 7. Not Afraid 9/10: This song has been played heavily on MTV and other music networks. I felt this song was a very good way to put the new song and feel out there for fans to know Eminem was back and ontop once again. 8. Seduction 6/10: Not one of my favorites but it sill has a catch sound to it. It is alledgedly about Mariah Carey but regardless it gets your attention. 9. No Love ft. Lil Wayne 9/10: The only reason I did not make this a 10/10 is because I had mixed emotions about this song from the start. At first I did not like it feeling the two didn't really mix, but then after listening more closely I found myself listening and singing along. 10. Space Bound 10/10: One of my absolute favorites on the album. This song is totally out of the norm for Eminem and many will proably say it's soft and not him. That's just it though Eminem is not the same he has evolved and this is a great example. It's different yes, but it works and he set the track on fire. 11. Cinderella Man 11/10: The only other song I rate 11/10 because it has such a flow that you just can't help yourself but listen. I love the rhythm and his rhymes are sick. Great track. 12. 25 to Life 9/10: This song has a good feel and it seems he put alot of emotion into it while recording. The female vocals add alot to it aswell and makes for an overall awesome track. 13. So Bad 6/10: Decent lyrics yet for some reason the song doesn't quite feel the same as the rest almost like a filler track. I do not however, find myself skipping over it so it was a success. 14. Almost Famous 10/10: This track just makes me wanna get up and start moshing or moving in some sort of way. The beat is sick and mad props to the producer. The lyrics are very good as well as he takes many shots at himself for his previous failures in music. 15. Love The Way You Lie ft Rihanna 9/10: Another one of my favorites Rihanna and Eminem sound perfect together and this song puts me in a great state of mind. Not to mention this is the melding of my favorite male and female artists what could be better! 16. You're Never Over 10/10: This gets a 10 because it is a very heart filled and melodic tribute to Proof of D12. Eminem made an effort to tribute Proof every chance he had. This song was not at all hard to listen to and may possibly have meaning to others. 17. Untitled (Here We Go) 5/10: Not quite sure why this song was added but it was not a good choice to put right after You're Never Over. However it was put together well and was quite decent. All together this Album was well produced and written and therefore I give the overall album a 10/10. I recommend this to any Eminem fans new and old. If you have given up on him because of past albums not having quite that Eminem feel then pick this up and give him another chance it will not dissapoint you. It will appeal to all types of fans, it has melodic vocals (yes even Eminem singing) but it also has the hardcore anger type rapping so just give it a listen. I have forgiven all faults by Eminem after hearing his effort and his apologetic nature for Relapse which only had a few decent tracks. Eminem has cleaned up his life and is now making the music we all knew he could. So to Eminem and everyone he works with I say. Great job and welcome back you are forgiven. Anspieltipps: Cold wind blows, Not afraid, Love the way you lie 4,5 Sterne

Came in excellent quality, If your starting to get into Eminen, This album is worth the money. Probably best or one of his best albums he has ever done. It features P!nk on "Won't Back Down", Lil Wayne on "No Love", and Rihanna on "Love The Way You Lie and pretty more other amazing tracks. Don't mind the parent advisory sticker, I don't have the normal one because I live in a different country.

This was Eminem's return to mainstream hip hop after his post-Encore hiatus, he released an album called Relapse which is a cult classic in Eminem's fanbase but this album truly brought him back into the lime light that he was once in, legendary songs like Not Afraid and Love The Way You Lie with great , aggressive delivery and pop features. Must buy for fans!
