Decent tool but not worth the price for me
I was expecting a bit more from this scanner for the price. It works fine and reads the main systems, but it doesn’t really do much more than a basic £5 Bluetooth OBD reader. I ended up returning it and getting the Thinkcar 689BT instead, which offers a lot more features for slightly more with a discount code. The build quality is good though, and it’s easy to use — just not the best value in my opinion.

Cpr123x v3 scanner
Bought to put handbrake in service mode (2010 jag xf ) does the job. Had a little play around with it seems good for what it is. Fine for a very basic entry level scanner. Clears codes seems to read live data but obviously doesn’t tell you what values should be like a high end scanner. 5 star based on it being good for the level scanner it is. Can’t comment on longevity of product as only used it a few times

Device = great; Cheap, but Chinese version so use caution with purchase and read my comments
For the price, excellent. Very hi-tech. Like an android/ipad and similar experience. Had to pay for the extra features (e.g. dpf filter regen) through the software/app at 50 dollars for a year, which was unexpected (and falsely advertised) and disconcerting but seemed fine/legit (i.e. not a scam). Instructions were dire. Aftercare was poor (needed because extra feature wasn't easy/obvious to use) because the UK branch don't support the cheaper Chinese versions, which this is. They do respond to email, but they are in China so expect significant miscommunication and lack of empathy due to distance selling.

Great
This item is great value for money, the battery life on it is great. The fact that you can get updates straight from the device is great for live date and updates. It connects to my wi-fi with no trouble at all, it is compatible with my cars ECU

Car died! Now I know why!
It read and cleared the faults on my car which enabled me to drive it to the garage, to get it fixed. However the fault made it not economically worthwhile. 😭 But it's a nice bit of kit, maybe overkill for what I needed, but I liked that it updates it's software. And it even emailed me the report. If you repair cars, you need something like this, I'd say it's worth the price, it's nice portable size.

Great bit of kit
It arrived less than 24 hours from ordering, out the box you have 4 or 5 questions to answer (part of the setup), once connected to your Wi-fi it promptly went off and updated all the firmware and software on its own. Once completed I went outside and connected to my wife’s car, it was simple enough to connect it then was just as simple to scan the car. The unit then supplied the fault code and description of the fault, for me it was the front left abs sensor. So I’ve just ordered it ready to fit at the weekend. All in all very easy to use with clear instructions and use. Can’t really fault it to be honest. Ah I can actually I didn’t find the charging lead until after I had charged it in the car via the odb port. The charging lead was hidden with the manual (that I haven’t needed to read yelp) in the bag that you store the reader in.

Chinese nock-off but still functions soso
This is a Chinese nock-off, after the updates , I tried to run a diagnostic but it was unable to read the vin. Went manual mode on my Suzuki swift and found the SRS faults. Pressed to clear and it said failed. However after rescanning no faults came up and the dashboard light was clear. So although at the moment it appears the device is faulty or not as good as the original it cleared the fault on Suzuki swift. The SRS fault is very common with this vehicle. It is now clear and probably saving me £100s in the future.

Fast and useful
As a vehicle tech I found myself getting fed up having to walk to the office to grab the work diagnostic boxes to check and clear codes, this one now lives in my tool box, it's quick reliable and simple to use, it won't do programming so be aware of that but for every day code scans and clears on engine, ABS, Airbags and transmission it's more than sufficient, there is also basic live readings with graphing display too, you can also prepare trouble reports and print them off to attach to the customers paperwork if you so choose, it can print wirelessly via the share function. I am impressed with it's capabilities and presentation for the price.

Supports almost any vehicles
For most Nissan cars in Japan, it doesn't use regular OBD2. I was able to find the faults in my 2005 Nissan cubic/repair/and clear the codes. It also can connect to WiFi to show youtube video about the error codes. Wifi is a little slow, but that's not the purpose of this machine. It also support pretty much all Japan/Europe vehicles, you just need to download the supporting software of the brand of car first which took like 2 mins. Overall I love it and I don't need to spent over a thousand dollars on the professional o e or kept going to the car shop.

Perfect
Work perfect, quick VIN recognition, a lot of data from different vehicles onboard sensors and computers, real time diagnostic. First time after run the OBD requires a lot of updates so it will take a time. Run updates first than go to work 😁

Took a bit to figure out but once you do it's a must have.
I had an airbag light come on only when it was cold. On my 2010 ford edge. So I needed a scanner that could read SRS codes. I decided on the 123e over the 129e just due to the fact it arrived earlier. I admit I think I should have went with the 129e but still have no regrets. The 129e just dose a few extra reset function. One of them being for deisel's. But if I still want those other functions on the 123e, I can buy them in the store app on the scanner at $50/year for each function. This 123e scanner is amazing though. I found my SRS codes but they weren't very descriptive. And it said more info may be found in the live dataset. I didn't get what it meant by that. So the one code I figured it out to be the passenger occupancy sensor. A little dielectric grease in the plug and code cleared. But the other said just said Airbag module loop 1 and loop 2 faults. I finally figured out that this scanner can do a live graph of the ohms resistance in each sensor/module and the main airbag was showing way to high of resistance and it would fluctuate as I rotated the steering wheel. Holy crap it's my clock spring or actual airbag in the wheel. Luckily there is a recall for the airbags to be replaced on my vehicle, so I might only have to just pay for a clock spring since ford will already be doing most the labor under warranty. And now I have some actual helpful data I can take in with me showing the diagnosis is done. It's a great scanner at a reasonable price. I highly recommend it for the average backyard mechanic.
