Can I connect it to me iPhone to record calls?

Hi I use these recorders for meetings, and used one for Lectures as a Mature Disabled Student in 2006-2008 whilst taking a Law Degree. These were much more expensive then, like £150-200 and I would have "killed" for one at this price, even if a "line-in 3.5mm jack" plug in mic was needed for directional recording.On CALL RECORDING:I have a NOTE 4 and an S7 Samsung phone, and I use an app called "automatic call recorder" (I have the pro versions but this is only needed for LOTS of recording to use diferent file types) The regular app is fine....YES I know android, BUT I believe the same company do a free iPhone app too just DL from your appl (chokes on word....lol) store or use google to find it for iPhone on a thousand other sites. Make sure you have your Anti Virus on to avoid dodgy sites, "Filehippo" is a good one if they have it. You can always use a "site trust" add on in mozilla called "W.O.T.) - world of trust - which lets you see what the AntiVirus Companies think of a site BEFORE visiting it.To get the add on just click (at the top of your screen, on the left, usually in Firefox) slect "Tools", then "add-ons" and search for it from your Firefox Browser add-ons. It is essentially an "add-ons store" filled with great apps, even useful ones to complement Amazon price watching like "update scanner" and others besides.Call Recorder apps are ALWYAS the best way to record calls on your mobile.FYI:I have full Legal Knowledge on this matter too, from experience, using recordings in Court Cases and taking a Law Degree.In basic terms "any individuall can record their OWN call (incoming or outgoing) for their own pesonal benefit. Fore xample you may be discussing something with a seller of goods or speaking with someone who may try to deny saying stuff, so you can use the Recording to make a "verbatim" Transcript of the call, by hand or typed. You can use this as evidence in a court case or give it to the other party to "remind them" of promises made or commitments made they later try to renege on or change in some way. An ideal scenario might be getting reduced payments agreed from a creditor if you' have an accident and can't work for a reasonably lengthy period of time or suffer financial hardship for another reason. You can not publish (on the general web or social media platforms) the contents in full. You can view the transcript and so can the people you speak to when you give them a copy. (A solicitior is permitted to read it to, and so is a Journalist but the journalism law is complex so stick to keeping it LEGAL if you follow my point).The exemption is if someone in a position of Public or Private Authority says something that they would not say in public, but it is in the public interest to know then you can publish details or that as the Public Interest outweighs privacy, but take legal advice to be safe.In essence you can record anyone at any time incoming/outgoing and DO NOT EVER have to tell them either before or after the conversation, unless you want to use it as leverage in which case you state that the call is recorded at the END of the conversation.You can produce a Tracnscript in a legal case as evidence and if challenegd the Court will agree to playing of the recording as proof either in open Court or to the Judge alone, either way a recording Transcript can NOT be made out to be a lie.If you have nasty debt collectors chasing you. Record them in their normal practices, then tell them you feel harasses. Then inform them you want them to STOP caling you but write to you instead, and if they call again tell the a second time and warn them that after two requests of cessation due to feeling harassed that a further call WILL be commiting the offense of Harassment by Electronic Means (HbEM), and that you have BOTH requests recorded in full as well as all other calls from them as proof. This WILL stop them or they call again and you then report them to the police for HbEM and problem is solved.I know I have digressed, but lets be realistic there are only a few reasons to record calls and the Legal info may help one or two people so it was worth adding I believe, despite my being dyslexic and this taking ages for me to type and check etc.Best wishesLBB

How do you recharge the battery?

Hi Lucinda - Plug the smaller jack of the lead supplied into the small rectangular socket in the side of the recorder, and the other larger end (standard USB) into a USB socket in your computer. The computer USB socket might be at the back. There are usually several; you may have a couple on the front as well. If you have no computer, you might be able to use another device - but you'll have to ask someone else about that!

Can you change the speed

. . . not as far as I am aware, but I haven't used for quite awhile as I found the quality not quite what I wanted for recording music (live rehearsals)

Great device

Great little device. Easy to use and recordings have been clear so far.

It does the job and I'm completely satisfied with it. Do not over look this machine.

The size was ideal. I am not one for reading instructions but I found it very easy to use. Anything you tape can be transfered to your computer then you can add more. This is so much better than individual tapes that stop when you need more space. I am using it to collect facts to eventually get material for a book.

You get what you pay for

Feels cheap and tacky, tinny sounding, instructions are too small to read. wish I’d of bought a better quality one.

A very simple and affordable MP3 Player

I'd gifted one of these in the past and heard nothing but good things about it, so, decided to get myself one. It's a nice and simple player that does what it's meant to do. Nothing more, nothing less. If you aren't hung up on having the latest overpriced gadget and aren't too fussy over audio quality, this player will do the job.

Ordered this item and they sent one a third of the size??? Its tiny, very dissapointed with the plastic quality.

Clear recording

I ordered this as a voice recorder it performed well for the money and is good value for money

Cheaply made, faulty devices

We ordered 6 if these for college exams to be recorded trusting that they would function properly. We have found the following issues:- device is not charging properly and/ or loses charge after an hour- it doesn't record when it's on charger so this way it's not functional- it does not record in mp3 even though the box states this, ONLY in WAV file format- difficult to use, it doesn't start and stop by pressing once.-from one decide it's not possible to withdraw the files when trying to uploadOverall, this device is not good quality and many issues with it. We will be returning the product.
