Life saver!!!
This was a life saver. I had bought a new cap because I did a flush and water pump replacement I figured I would also do the cap again just to eliminate possible causes of my jeeps issue. I had the new cap I bought on and my jeep overheated and lost all coolant in the radiator leaving me stranded. I had this cap I found in my jeep as this is the one I replaced plus some coolant and put it on haven’t had another issue since. The build quality is great I don’t have any leaks from the cap. It keeps great pressure in the radiator it saved me hundreds in towing.

It is safe but quality is mid
Build quality is a bit low, at first it seems fine but I think after a few heat cycles the rubbers just get moved around a bit. I did end up having to remove it off and on a few times before it ever sealed correctly. Im still not 100 percent convinced the vacuum valve works correctly. Pro, the lever is a life saver and easy to teach my kids the safety on checking hot coolant.

Stant Lev-R-Vent
Ever since I turned 16 in in 1976 I have used the Stant Lev-R-Vent. It is the best most obvious safety device I can imagine. Anyone who has ever had to open a hot radiator knows how dangerous they can be. This ought to be mandatory for all cars in my opinion. The red safety level lets any user draw off the pressure into the cars radiator reservoir safely before opening. Sometimes they have been hard to find, but now that I found them here online at Amazon; the safe choice is obvious. Buy one for now and buy a spare. Replace them regularly when you change the coolant. Low pressure from a worn out cap can also lead to boil over. It is well worth the money. Who wants to risk hot radiator fluid scalding ones hand? Any other cap is often a struggle to remove, but not this one. That is the best reason to buy one.

I've been using this cap for a few months now. No leaks or issues thus far. Knowing that the pressure has been safely released from the system is such a wonderful feeling. I don't have to wait for the vehicle to cool down 100% completely before I remove the cap as well. It's so intriguing to me why these don't come stock on all vehicles (at least I know for sure they don't on Jeeps).
