Great for Rocketbook Use!
I use these particular pens for one, single purpose. This review is not for you if you use them on regular paper.I use Rocketbooks daily for work and these are a necessity. I typically like a finer point pen for use on paper but a finer tip scratches and creates indentations in the Rocetbook pages that wears them out and unusable after a very short time. The color is great, they're smooth and easy to write with. They don't wear out the pages nearly as quickly. The eraser works great for small fixes and a simple spritz of water with a cloth works when you want the whole page gone. While I have used these on regular paper, it is not often and I hold no judgement or can review for use in that particular medium.

Pens with a Backspace!
I love these FriXion pens. I first found them at my campus bookstore, but they are so popular that the bookstore can't keep them in stock. I was so impressed with the actual functionality of these pens I furthered my search to find replacement ink cartridges, because as other reviewers have noted, they do run out of ink quickly.(If you purchase the 0.5mm pens, the ink will last about twice as long.) The cap is a MAJOR design flaw. In looking for replacement cartridges, I found the latest version of these pens from Japan. They are click pens with no cap. I'm amazed that they are still not available on Amazon, as they are a significant upgrade, and well worth searching out.I've used these pens daily for a year now. Everyone seems to have some worry about them accidentally erasing, but I have never experienced that. They are awesome during essay exams, as the ink looks so much more impressive than pencil. They erase better than pencil. FriXion pens are now an indispensable school supply.

I ordered 2 boxes, of 12 and only received 2 loose, individual unpackaged pens.
I hope the seller,( BISONOFFICE.COM) makes this right ,because I love these pens, but I would never pay $10.35 for just one pen or double that for two! I use them to for my check book, register only, to keep my household budget books, and to do crossword puzzles. They are easy to write and erase with and save a lot of time, not having to use white out liquid or tape, making things a lot neater.

Wonderful erasable pen!
I am a scientist in addition to being a private instructor in math and science. I typically use 0.9mm mechanical pencils when I am teaching/writing instructional material for my students because the thicker lead is bolder and easier to read, along with being erasable (absolutely essential when you teach math!) I have long wished I could use pen because its much easier to read on paper and makes lasting, professional looking notes. After trying the Sharpie erasable pencil and the Papermate erasable ball points, I was disenfranchised from the whole "erasable pen" idea and just trudged on with my fat pencils. When I found some Frixion's locally on clearance, I decided to give them a whirl and they were an absolute HIT with my students. Not only do they yield beautiful, dark and steady ink flow, they are actually and truly erasable leaving no sign of previous markings on the paper. My students LOVE these pens and have all commented that they are much easier to read than pencil. As an added plus, they are very easy to write with and among the best gel pens I have ever used (and I've used them all...)Now, why the 4 stars? Well there are a few MAJOR disadvantages, or trade-offs, for the erasability. 1) The ink is erasable due to friction, hence the name "Frixion." This means whenever the ink is exposed to any rubbing or abraision, it disappears without a trace. I learned this the hard way when I was doing some erasing on the back side of a double-sided page of notes I was composing. When I erased on the back, the writing on the front was rubbed off too. Then, later in the day, my notes were erased when my notebook was shuffling around in my backpack. Not good. 2) The ink runs out fast and goes illegibly light when there is still visible amounts of ink in the barrel. I can usually get about 20 pages front and back per pen before all the ink has been used. Considering they run nearly $2 per pen, thats pretty pricey; particularly when you write 50+ pages a week like I do.Overall: these are bar-none the BEST erasable pens on the market. They are WELL WORTH the purchase even for those curious to try a novelty writing instrument. Excellent and very much recommended! See my photos for samples of the ink!

Not you standard crappy eraseable pen
Erasable pens have sure come a long way from those awful eraser mate "erasable" pens. This is the best erasable pen on the market. I know because I tested them all, there aren't that many, in an attempt to get a suitable pen to take the California Bar Exam. It erases completely, no smudges left behind. After erasing the ink all you can see are the indentions from the tip of the pen. Also, I didn't realize that the "eraser" is actually the gray numb on the back of the pen. I figured it out after erasing my way through half a staedlar eraser. To erase you just rub the gray nub on the writing and the ink just disappears. The ink is erased through friction, which explains the unfortunate name of the product. Another unfortunate aspect that has nothing to do with performance, are the flame/barbed-wire looking graphics all-over the pen. (Resembling regrettable tattoos)They also have erasable highlighters, which are equally amazing.

Love these pens!
Pilot FriXion Ball Erasable Gel Pens, are the only pens I buy. They erase amazingly and the pen glides well on the page. I do find they don’t last as long as a regular pen, but I don’t care, cuz I love to erase when I need to.

My favourite pen!!!
I love these pens and love even more that you can buy refills for them. I'd rather not buy a whole new pen when the ink runs out if I can help it - buying just the refill I'm hoping will mean less plastic to recycle. The pens themselves hold up well and I'm not sure how it works but the erasers don't get worn down. They write like a nice, smooth fountain pen and erase cleanly every time. I am a pen snob and am so happy I discovered these pens and refills!

My new fav pens.
These are the best frixion pens I've used. I wanted a smaller size, but it worked out perfectly. Use them all the time on normal paper and the fantastic Rocketbook products.
