Would buy again
These little guys showed up after some stressful travelling and are settling in nicely in their new home. I bought 3 and got an extra one. They are tiny little things, a little smaller than my thumb nail, but exactly what I was looking for. I bought 3 for a 9 gallon tank to help clean up my algae in my pond and they are doing just that. All showed up alive and healthy. They were packaged very well. I would definitely buy more from Aquatic Arts in the future.

Quality Products, Great Customer Support from Ethical Mom and Pop Shop
Great mom and pop shop that focuses on relationships with customers, quality products, animal safety, and the environment. I cannot believe I found an old-fashion mom and pop shop on Amazon, but they are now my exclusive shop for all items they carry. The quality of their products and ethical business approach cannot be beat. They have a lot of items for taking care of your aquarium, both through Amazon and on their website.Pros:1. Quality products.2. Items as described.3. Good customer support. Stands behind product.4. Animals well treated during housing and shipping.5. Uses environmentally sound shipping products.Warnings:These warning are not about the company or the product. Both are as described (and the first warning is in the product description). These are a heads up for new aquarists:1. These snails arrive small and you may have to keep them separate from your main tank for a month until they are big enough to avoid being eaten. You should keep them quarantined for 2 weeks anyway, so the extra two weeks is probably not a significant hardship.2. These snails cannot go in ponds. First, they are too little and will be eaten by the pond fish. Second, they cannot survive temperatures below 65 degrees.3. The shipping process makes the snails lose color because of the stress. They arrive brown and dull. However, each day in good water helps them regain their color. After a week, they are brightly colored under LED lights. Do not fret when they arrive, they will become bright like the picture...true to color!4. You must put the snails in with their shell up and their feet down or they could drown.

Low Value
This snail is smaller than a dime. It has a crack in its shell. It was not worth $35.00. I do not recommend and would not repurchase.

Ordered 5 from Aquatic Arts, received 8, one month later still have 8 snails and almost no algae
Great seller and a great addition to my aquariums. As you can see from the other reviews of InvertObsession aka Aquatic Arts critters, he usually includes a couple of extras with each order. In my case, I received 8 of these little nerites. These are my first snails. I put 3 in a 10 gallon tank that has red cherry shrimp, java moss and java ferns and had a serious algae buildup on the back glass (it's difficult to clean without disturbing the plants). The other 5 went in a 29 gallon community tank that includes fish, red cherry and 3 big amano shrimp. I could keep the glass clean on this one, but algae had grown on all the artificial plants and tank decorations. It's now a month later and I still have all 8 snails and almost no visible algae. I've also found it quite absorbing to watch these guys cruising around the tank working on the algae, this includes crawling up plant stems and over both sides of leaves. You can actually see their mouths munching away when they are working on the glass. Some of them do spend time riding piggyback on their fellows which no doubt is related to the small white eggs that occasionally appear. But my shrimp have been able to handle most of the eggs and it's easy enough to scrape off the few remaining. Certainly a lot easier than scraping algae. BTW, shrimp and these snails make a great team. The shrimp eat the snail waste (which is almost entirely partially digested algae) along with the eggs. At the beginning when the snails were working on a visible patch of algae, there'd often be a shrimp or two riding each snail so they could get first dibs on the, umm. preprocessed algae.Other notes. As far as looks go, think more utilitarian than purely decorative, 5 of mine display obvious tiger stripes although the width isn't uniform. Three appear to be solid olive or beige. I think they all have either 1,2 or 3 of the little horns. Also, for those who don't have a drip acclimatization system and a quarantine tank but are willing to take some time to increase all your fish and inverts odds of survival, here's how I did it. I rinsed and dried the outside of bag before opening it and then floated it in my tank. I added a half cup of tank water to the bag and then every 10 to 15 minutes for the next three hours I dumped a half cup from the bag into the drain and added another half cup from the tank. Make sure you use two different measures, so the bag water doesn't get mixed with your tank water. At the end of this I dumped all the bag water, picked the snails off the bag and gently placed them on the glass or upright on one of the aquarium decorations.

Amazing sellers and product!
The snails arrived way before I expected them to. They were well packed and cared for. There were also two extra, and all were alive and well! They acclimated nicely and made beautiful additions to my shrimp tank. At first the shrimp were a bit spooked, getting near them and darting away, but by the end of the day they were all fine. After a few weeks they are all getting along just fine. My tank is nice and clean, and I love being able to see all my creatures om nom noming on the sides. The sellers themselves were prompt and amazingly helpful with their replies, long before I even intended to purchase. If I had to say anything negative at all about my entire experience, it's that the tracking and e-mails were not well updated. However, it led to a nice surprise when my snails got here long before I expected. All in all it was wonderful purchase and experience. I would highly recommend these sellers for any aquatic creatures.*NOTE* these animals are shipped in fresh water and need to be acclimated to any brackish or marine conditions.

Probably better to look elsewhere.
Most arrived dead. Quality wasn’t great either.

Got an extra!
These arrived yesterday, and I had ordered one but got 2! So cute! The larger is a little smaller than a small marble, the other is pea size. I’d do a video but they’re all over the place! They moved almost immediately and went to work. Turbo and Jacques. Will order again, thank you!
