This is a great box - nice looking, holds a lot of stuff! It seems slim in profile, but actually holds relatively tall things and has a pretty good capacity. I am really happy with it. I'd be glad to pay more for one made of thicker, sturdier metal, but would probably have to see it in person to believe it. It's not going to see kids slamming it every day, so it'll be just fine. For the price, the quality is good. The color is sweet, and it's very easy to open (it does slam shut). We aren't using it for bread, but for otc medicines on a bathroom shelf (it's just tall enough for a Costco-sized bottle of Ibuprofen). Keeps things tidy and clean from dust, but easily accessible. It doesn't seal particularly snugly, so to keep bread fresh, for example, the bread would have to be in plastic. It would be great to keep tea & coffee on the counter in the kitchen, muffins & bagels, art supplies, vitamins, anything that's always on the counter but should be corralled.

I read the reviews and saw the pictures but, optimistically I suppose, discounted the lady who provided the picture showing that the handle was not on straight. I thought “surely that’s a fluke”, but no! I bought three and NOT ONE has the handle affixed correctly. Having said that, I don’t think it’s bad enough to send them back. If you’re a perfectionist, do not buy these. However, for the rest of us... the box is exactly what was needed. The soft white and metal handle match my kitchen decor wonderfully! On another subject, someone had asked if the handle could be easily replaced. I thought this was a great idea as I wanted to use one in another room. Turns out that mechanically, it is quite easy to remove the handle. However, I’m having trouble finding the right size replacement. It seems a 110 mm (approx 4 3/8”) distance between the holes is not a standard size. So far, I haven’t been able to locate one I like. March 2024 update: I have moved three times since then. In each location, I have used them for different things in various rooms. They have weathered the moves well and are still in excellent condition — but still have the same handles! Oh well! You can’t have everything, I guess!

I bought a 2nd one of these I loved the 1st one so much. I use 1 for k-cups and coffee accessories. The 2nd I use for papers that need filing.

I love this bread box. To be fair I'm storing snacks in it instead of bread. I could only fit one loaf of bread in it and we usually have rolls or something so I'll find something else to fit my needs for that. But, I love it for holding snacks. So much neater than having them in a basket. They are close at hand but hidden from sight. The color in my opinion is more on the bluer side and I was expecting a mintier green but totally ok with the color just wanted anyone who is curious to know that the picture looks greener than I think it is. There is a little more space with a full loaf in there but not really enough to hold another package but you could put something smaller in with it. Hope this helps! Happy with my purchase!

I hesitated buying this for a an entire year because I knew it was overpriced and was waiting for it to go on sale... it never did. I finally decided to just get it because nothing else had these perfect dimensions for my countertop storage needs. Well, it's even chintzier than I expected. Very thin metal, it was shipped with 0 protective gear, not even a plastic bag covering it, and the hinge is visible from the top, which you can't really tell in the manufacturer photos. The hinge looks like a giant zipper, it's so unslightly and takes away from the clean white box look I wanted. I'm still gonna keep it because it fits even jumbo gummy vitamin bottles, and keeps everything neat on the counter. The other downside is the label on the front of the lid is a cheap paper label that sticks like loctite. You need goo gone to remove it.

The metal is not thick but the breadbox is functional. The screws are on the top of the breadbox which is fine it makes it look more industrial. It holds 2 loaves of bread and a pack of hamburger buns nicely. This is the first square breadbox I’ve purchased but it won’t be the last.

I was looking for a smallish bread bin, something different to the chunky ones like mainstream names This is exactly what I wanted, yes it's thin metal bit wobbly when using, but sat it looks perfect. It's not intrusive, not bulky, height should be enough for most kitchens if you need to save space and put something on top, although it does open upwards. Room for probably 1.5 loaves depending what you buy. Really nice, I personally would recommend to give it a try.
