I got this as a gag gift and after a good laugh my dear mother said it'd be best to return it because she would never wear it. Well I decided it was worth getting some more giggles out of and kept it to wear around my neighborhood. Somewhere along the way I actually started to love the dang thing. Want to grill in the rain? No problem. Are you going to miss the perfect picture because you don't want to get your phone wet? Not with this bad boy. Do you want to be sizzling in the sun at your kid's next soccer game or have your own little shade oasis and still be able to cart all your kids stuff around with a spare hand for a cooler? You know you want to be the only soccer mom with her make-up still intact and all the pep, not looking like you just left a funeral because the sweat is running down your face faster than those kids run for orange slices after the game. You might get a weird look or two at first, but if you can just hang in there by the end of that game will be the envy of every sunburned sucker drinking 200° Gatorade. In all honesty, the hat is the same size as a normal umbrella so a lot of people don't notice it's a hat until you are the only parent left clapping since the sun hasn't drained you within an inch of your life. Rain or shine this is a go-to head-turner. I never thought that people would be asking me "Where can I get a hat like that?", when I bought it for shifts and giggles. Just don't wear it in high winds unless you are trying to make it big on America's Funniest Videos because you will look like you're a few crumbs short of a biscuit fighting this umbrella hat as it yanks you around by your cranium. If only my mom knew what she was missing.

It's great protection from the sun around 5 degrees cooler. I love my hat especially when I'm fishing.

This thing is humongous. It doesn’t fit through doorways, doesn’t fit through my garden gate. It’s fine if there is nothing within 15-20 inches of me, otherwise I can’t get close enough to reach anything. IE; the tomato cages and trellises don’t let me get close enough to weed the garden beds with the shade on. Soon, the plants themselves will be too tall for me to be able to wear the shade and reach the plants to weed or harvest. I don’t want to think about how many bugs will get trapped inside this thing later in the summer. Not the best design…

Is this ridiculous? Yes, however it leaves your hands free to do whatever, in my case it's handle the dogs while outside and raining. Tight fit in the storage bag but it will go back in.

I wanted this hat umbrellas to work so badly but after receiving 2 defective units, I decided that a third wasn’t going to be any different, or it could fail like the first two.Both umbrellas had one of the metal arms broken/poking thru the material. After the second fail, I took this as a sign that it is probably not too good of a product. But what a great idea!

I truly expected it to blow off my head easily. Because of the top piece venting the wind, it does not. It has enabled me to work outside and stay much cooler. I recommend this product. 👌

I bought two styles of this umbrella hat. They really aren't comfortable - The headband isn't adjustable and doesn't have much give. Opening them is not easy for older person and definitely not easy to put back in the sleeve case - which is why I still have them - I couldn't get them packed back to return.
