PHILIP B Hairbrush Cleaner

For the money I thought it would be a little bit bigger at least maybe 4 or 5 inches but seeing that it said it would be 3 inches I decided to give it a try anyways after trying a cheaper made version and not having success. When it arrived it looked a little less than 3 inches to me so I took a ruler to it and it was closer to 2.5 inches. If the handle was slightly bigger, I think it would have been perfect, because the actual cleaning part is a good size to get in between all my bristles on my brush, but it's a little difficult to get a good grip on it while cleaning. Other than that, this is well made, the tines don't bend too much when I'm cleaning and it's perfect for getting all the hair out and loosening up all the lint build up at the base of my bristles so I can easily clean all that out without having to take tweezers to each individual bristle. It saves me so much time!

It works and it looks nice. I have to hold it with thumb and forefinger, it is tiny in big hands and kind of hard to manipulate. It would be easy in a child's hands. Anyway, it does clean brushes, but the tines bend very easy and they are not willing to go back into place. It is made of wood and steel. It does the job that the Fuller Brush one did (although at twice the price of the Fuller Brush one). I was glad to find one for my natural bristle brushes, but a week later I found a plastic one that looks like this for 3 dollars at a big box store.

I have worked in the salon industry since 1989. I've seen brush cleaners that looked similar in the past and I know they work well. I ordered this one for one of my hair stylists. I actually LOLed when I first saw it! This thing is so tiny, it looks like it's made for a doll.. However, it really does a nice job. The only downside is that the handle is so tiny. If they could just put it on a handle that is easier to "handle", it would be a 5 star item.

This is a wonderful gadget. It did take time to remove all the product when I first used it, as my brush was in a very bad state. But now as I clean it often, the cleaner does its job perfectly. The only disadvantage is if you have a hairbrush which has plastic buds on all the tips of the bristles. Then it will not work. I am not even sure if anything exists to work on those brushes. Apart from that, this gadget is wonderful.

This rake-styled comb is fantastic for cleaning brushes of all types. I found it the best tool by far to renew the usefulness of carpet sweepers that have had a lot of use and abuse. The brushes on such cleaners collect a lot of lint, hair and thread. With this cleaner, it is a work of minutes to return them to a level of usefulness that makes the use of a large vacuum cleaner more of a weekly need rather than a daily job. The cleaned carpet sweeper will collect all the large debris, allowing the vacuum to do its work on the dust and small stuff that collects over the week.Mind you, use of the hairbrush cleaners is not something to be undertaken without sufficient time to do the job properly. the cleaner is made of stiff wires, but they must be used carefully to rake through the bristles without bending the tines too far and cleared of the debris it collects before it becomes clogged. Used properly, the cleaner will refurbish almost any style of brush, and continued use will allow brushes to last for many years, an uncommon situation in our use and discard society.

I was actually looking for a product like this. My boar and nylon bristle bushes are looking nasty, and I couldn't figure out how to clean them. Unfortunately, this doesn't clean my brushes very well or make them look brand new again as claimed. It only works a little better to clean my brushes, but it's not that big of a difference. I wouldn't recommend this.

Great at removing hair from brush, but wish it was better at removing the fuzz that accumulates at the base of each bristle.It was unexpectedly tiny (around 2" long)! Also, the handle is domed, so it does not stand upright (the way it seems in the photo).

Smaller than I was thinking, this still gets the job done. It's easy to hold and surprisingly captures all the hair after running thru a few times and also the fuzz that seems to always find its way in brushes, too.

Je savais que ces brosses existaient mais je ne voyait pas nulle part. C'est le plus pratique des objets pour nettoyer une brosse à cheveux. Parfois je gratte aussi le tapis pour enlever des cheveux dessus. Petite et compactes. C'est nécessaire vraiment !

I was trying to replace one that I've for my wife that she's had for at least 25 years because the bristles had become too distorted, but it is a much better size and bristles are stronger than this Philips hairbrush cleaner.. My wife was quite disappointed when she saw this one and said that it is too difficult to handle because it's so small and short compared to hers which is bigger and more substantial.

Cet outil est en fait tout petit (moins de 10 cm en incluant le manche). J'ai été surprise en le recevant car il semble assez grand sur la photo (en même temps il n'y a pas d'échelle donc il est difficile de juger). Mais le plus important, c'est que le nettoyeur nettoie vraiment très bien !! Il retire non seulement les cheveux mais aussi les petites poussières et résidus de produits qui peuvent s'accumuler au fil du temps sur une brosse. Il suffit de gratter doucement la surface de la brosse avec les tiges d'acier et le tour est joué. En plus, vu sa taille, il se range facilement dans une trousse !

Petit petit .. je n'avais pas réalisée la grosseur.... mais je suis satisfaite du produit et de la rapidité d'envoi !!!

it is so small compared to the one that I am replacing that it barely goes through a bristle hairbrushI would never buy this again, nor would I recommend itI actually would like to return it
