Brown Dog Java Ground Coffee, Maple Bacon, 12 Ounce

Got this coffee out of curiousity. Received package within 5 days of ordering, and brewed a pot the next morning. Coffee has a very pleasant maple smell during brewing, and is not bitter to the taste. I didn't smell or taste bacon at all in the coffee, and unless you have to have your coffee roasted to order, you're probably better off with a less expensive brand.

This is a bit of a treat, smooth flavor, more 'maple', than 'bacon' though. I won't buy it again, but I didn't hate it. This would probably go well with breakfast.

It theory it could be very good, but in reality it's just another coffee.You can't taste the maple or the bacon, you can't even smell it in the brew or in the bag.It's a good full flavored coffee minus the advertised deliciousness.

Wasn't as big of a hit as it makes you think, but it's still coffee so.....

I was able to get some bacon flavors out of it, but nothing too very exciting. Was not that amazing.

Smells great. When you open the bag you are overwhelmed by maple. If you inhale deep enough you can catch a faint bacon smell. When this coffee comes in contact with hot water, your whole house smells like breakfast. It is a very smooth tasting coffee. No hints of maple or bacon but just fresh coffee. Warning: This will leave your house smelling like maple for days. You will come home from work and think "What did I cook that smelled like that?" Then you will remember and all you want to do is have another cup.

I was really excited to try this out. Once I got it, I could smell some maple coming from the bag but not much bacon. I opened it up and it honestly just smelled like regular coffee with a minute hint of something bacony but barely noticeable. I brewed up some and it really doesn't have any maple or bacon flavor or smell to it while brewing either. The taste has pretty much no bacon flavor whatsoever. As a coffee, it is pretty good. As a maple bacon flavored coffee, it just isn't.

The flavor of the maple bacon coffee isn't very maple-y or bacon-y. It just takes kind of like burnt bacon grease - the gritty black stuff with carbonated burn pieces in it that you wipe up after you've cooked bacon.Also the packaging on this product is different than what I received and to be honest since this was for a gift the packaging was kind of important.
