This product was amazing! I used high quality chocolate and did not have a single issue. It was in use for over three hours straight and worked amazingly! Clean up was not as hard as people who reviewed this said it was. Definitely worth the purchase!

I wanted to get a fountain for my party really bad. After looking at a few fountains, I thought this one was reasonably priced so dove in into the reviews. I was a little uncertain because of the bad ones. After reading a few, I started to think the bad ones were due to user error. After reading the one where the guy put the chocolate wafers directly into the fountain without melting, then I was sure it was user error and decided to take the risk.There is a manual that comes with it, very short but seems like a lot of people just simply ignore it. There was a piece of paper that said to not add unmelted chocolate to the fountain (I bet it started after the wafer guy). So it is really easy to operate the fountain correctly.You have to mix oil to the chocolate, that’s what makes it work. I followed the recipe in the manual which is 24oz of chocolate to 3/4 cup of oil. I decided to use coconut oil because it felt the least weird, and the flavor of the chocolate was unchanged. The fountain worked pretty well right away and throughout the whole day. Everyone loved it!I was also worried that it would be one of those nostalgia miniature appliances that they sell at Walmart and therefore too small. It was not, not huge but not small. Perfect size for a party.My tip is to clean it right away, I knew I should’ve but was too lazy and just made it harder for myself.Buy it without fear!

Do not waste you money in this chocolate fountain. I bought it to use at my kids party and it didn't function properly. The item never got hot enough to keep the melted chocolate flowing as a choclate fountain should! All it did was clump and harden the chocolate. We were unable to keep using it. We ended up washing it and putting it back in the box and I used a crockpot instead.

It's small but worked great for a small group.Used it for a birthday full of teens so it was a fun addition to the party.Warmed and stayed heated at good temp.I wish the last tier was a bit higher so it would be easier to dip but other than that super happy with the purchase

Worked for highschool dance for 70 students. Favorite dessert! Favorite dunking item - strawberries. Placed it on a covered box for height. Noise of fountain was NOT noticeable after festivities got started. I purchased 5 lbs of chocolate as recommended in other posts. Cleaned it up while still warm. If you are away from your kitchen, Have a small bottle of vegetable oil to thin chocolate & be ready for clean up just after you use. Clean up: Need something to put melted chocolate in (I threw it away after being used for 4 hrs.), dish soap and bowl to put fountain pieces in after most of the chocolate is rinsed off.

I feel like the sole use for this product would be just to look at it. It says to use 24 oz of chocolate and any less than that it will not have the sheeting flow effect. So as soon as you start dipping fruit into the chocolate you need to constantly be replenishing it. It took me quite a few tries to figure this out and what kind of chocolate to use and what oil/fat I should be mixing in to make it thin. It must be the right consistency and the right amount and you will have to experiment with any kind of cheese or chocolate or any other fondue you want to use. Once you get it working right it's almost worth it. But it's also not extremely easy to clean. If you aren't so worried about the aesthetic just get a fondue pot. That is so much easier. The warming plate on this fountain also didn't really keep the chocolate warm enough to continue flowing properly. It would start to harden on the edges and as it went through. But I learned that raspberries dipped in Ghirardelli dark chocolate melting wafers is SO delicious.

Works very well and easy to use

This chocolate fountain was perfect for what we needed! I read the reviews before buying it and some people complained about the clean up and chocolate not melting. If you follow the instructions in the manual you’ll see you need to add oil to the chocolate, and melt the chocolate before you put it in the fountain and then it works perfect!! If you clean the fountain right after you’re done using it with hot water, then the chocolate will come right off. It’s super easy to use and it’s super fun.
