My mother recently moved across the country from a semi-tropical environment to a desert one, and boy has she been missing her green, lush, wildlife filled estate. She spent the past few months trying to turn the dirt and desert landscape of the new yard to a green and colorful haven, no easy task, I assure you. In helping her achieve her desert to forest conversion, I landed upon this lovely peacock. I bought one for my mother. She loved it enough to request an second. She placed the peacocks between her newly planted evergreens and Russian sages, and she achieved a believable and exotic landscape. She found the birds to be sturdy, resistant to high desert window, of which there are many, water resistant, and rust resistant. She also loved the colors of the peacocks and their very realistic appearance. She was most pleased with the gift, and I was pleased with the efficiency of the delivery, the reasonable cost of the item, and the beauty of the product. Highly recommend.

Extremely well made absolutely beautiful!

The substantial size of this peacock paired with the bright, vibrant colors make it really stand out. I placed it in a spot in my yard that needed something noticeable, and it looks great. The bright colors are not carried over to the back of the tail feathers, however, so I like it up against a fence where the back can’t be seen. It seems well constructed and has a secure connection for putting it together. I have a concern, based on other reviews, that the colors may fade sooner rather than later, but I have it under a tree where it is out of direct sun, so I’m hoping that doesn’t happen. The only complaint I have (so far) is that it does not come with stakes for securing it to the ground - I had to use my own. I have several metal bird sculptures in my yard, and they have all come with stakes, even the smallest ones. So it seems very odd to me that this one didn’t.

I absolutely love this yard decor - It is really pretty and quite eye-catching. I needed something that would be attractive but would also keep our dogs from trying to get at defenseless critters hiding under the deck. This serves BOTH purposes. We put a clear coat on it (spray can) before putting it outside and it has been withstanding the crazy Wisconsin spring and summer weather for over 3 months without showing any signs of color change or wear and tear. I love it so much I just bought another Alpine peacock in a different pose (JUM208) and it is getting its clear coat today so it can join its friend in our yard. If you get either of these two peacocks I don't think you will be disappointed.

Beautiful, vibrant colors. Very easy to “assemble” unwrap the wings and bird, open the wings and insert into the slots on the body - done!
