I have mystery snails and it’s important to keep the pH of the water at a certain level. This kit is a fast, easy way to make sure it stays where it should, and comes with pH up and down so you can correct it immediately.

If ph is what you're concerned about this is a good little kit. Does the job and is simple to use.

Bit pricey but test works great. The ph up and ph down not working at all.

It works well and is a great product that is easy to apply. There is a test tube and indicator drops and a color chart for the test results. It's a little tricky when applying ph up or down. What it doesn't tell you in the instructions is when the test result is clear there is no alkaline which means you may want to apply a few drops of the ph up. If the test result is real blue there is plenty of alkaline in the water which means you may want to apply a few drops of ph down. You check the level again after a few hours to determine if you have achieved the test result you wanted. If not add a few more drops. I keep mine at the level of the mid section of the color chart.

I have had an established fresh water tank for years. Had an amazing PH test and repair kit that I'd purchased at a store many years ago that had powered repair chemicals instead of liquid - it came with the tube, very detailed instructions and only cost about $20. When I relocated to CO from FL I didn't bring my 55 gal tank because I knew the transition would likely kill the fish so I sold the entire set up. I missed having fish so much I decided to start with a small 20 gal. Since I had no idea the PH of my well water I purchased this kit - unable to find the type of kit I had originally. I do not care for the liquid additive but the biggest issue is that the instructions tell you how to test the water but not how much PH up or down to add to balance the water. I had to look the information up on line. Since my water was very alkaline I found it difficult no matter how much PH lowering liquid I added to get anywhere near a more neutral PH level - after some serious research I found that most fresh water fish are find in a more alkaline environment so I've given up trying to balance the water and the fancy gold fish and African pygmy frogs I have in the tank are doing just fine.

The scale only goes up to 7.6, so useless for a cichlid tank. The pH up/down instructions tell you how much to add, but not what the expected change is. My pH was high off the scale (blue), but there i no way to know how high or how much acid to add.

3 Bottles in one pack but different expiry dates. From Dec 2025 to Jan 2026 Looks like old stock as its Mar 2024 now. My old PH Test Solution bought in Singapore had expiry date 3+ years from when bought
