This is EXCellent for everything! I dont want a microwave in my home.
This thing is Awesome. now while the instruction manual isnt that great.. if you figure out the right temps for foods. This thing can completely replace your microwave. I will include what i do and how i heat stuff up.You can make beef jerkey, popcorn, and heat everything you would with your microwaveListen the instruction manual that comes with it isnt the best teller of good temperatures.Heres my rundown. Steak, u use 460 7 - 10 mins. each side depending on how well cooked you want it. If you want to just thaw it out theres a thawing ffeature but id go with 400 for 10-14 mins on the bottom alone. Same for Hamburgers, chicken breast etc, You do have to flip the meat unless you go past 10 mins. but that can create wetness on one side... just flip it.. lol its not that hard.yes 460 is the airfry feature it also seals in the moisture and browns meat and foods. I recommend airfrying most meats to be safe.Chicken nuggets. precooked food, fishsticks, fish fillets breaded, breaded foods.minipizzas and junk food in general. 460, 14 mins.Reheating pizza. 350 - 6-10 mins. No soggyness no burns. 400 will burn cheese. take care to see on your own how it does.Cooking pizza. 400 is fine. Personally i airfry at 460 most of my chapo frozen pizzas on the bottom rack and they come out wonderful. some brands like the totinos party pizza can make the crust turn into something wonderful like a chalupa different than when you bake it if you air fry it.Frozenfood like burritos require you to cover them with foil! leave one or both ends open for air. and nuke it at 400 - 460. 10 mins.you might need to flip it, and do 7 more minutes or you might not.anything with bread like a sanwhich you need to cover and put on the bottom rack. cover with foil so the bread doesnt get hard. Also leaving some water on the bottom increases the moisture in the air and may prevent your food from getting toasted on one side when included with foil. i do this for my burritos.I cant think of anything else other than fish. i reccomend air frying or baking fish at 400.Small stuff like baking. well i dont bake really... well ive tried and im horrible at being patient. You need to use way less temps than whats usually recommended on your baking instructions. this thing cooks faster.400 will not cook most frozen meats fast enough like the directions say.I recommend using the extender ring that comes with it and air frying at 460 for most foods. Hope yall enjoy this thing. I use it Everyweek of my life. Feel free to ask me stuff about using it or what i do/temps when cooking

Replaced my toaster oven on the counter
Versatile and fun to cook with. Great for small meals or one large item like a chicken. I would rather cook with glass than the plastic on the other machine. It doesn't get very hot on the outside at all as the glass is thick and sturdy. When done, usually will wipe clean. Or take it to the sink and clean like any roaster pan, but without much sticking. Comes with a metal extender ring and two racks, and a cookbook with a few recipes. It's nice how you can watch stuff cooking, can evaluate as you go, unlike in a microwave or toaster oven. Noise level about the same as a microwave. Been experimenting with toasting stuff and have now moved the toaster oven to the garage! You do have to turn an item once during cooking if you need both sides toasted. But sometimes its nice to have bread toasted on one side and warm and steamy on the other. Yum.While it is a little cumbersome, will be taking with me during extended travel when I work. (I get tired of restaurant food.) It does not smoke or put out much heat or smell at all, so you could cook in a hotel room. There is a learning curve with this thing, but it is fun! I haven't tried cooking a large meat item while frozen and probably never will. Smaller frozen items are fine. Infrared on this machine does not really cook from the inside as much as they say. But it cooks adequately from the outside and air circulation. One tip for making the heating element last longer: don't interrupt the cooking cycle to flip your item while the lamp is active. Let it cool down for several seconds after the light is out. You can do this by simply lowering the temperature on the digital dial, it will cycle the lamp off with the fan still on. I've worked with projector bulbs, same thing, let them fan cool before full shut off.Hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

Works well after fixing top
I have had a countertop glass oven for about 20 years but the motor finally went out. In trying to decide about a new one, the Nu Wave seemed to work from the reviews but it involved heating plastic around food and I was uncertain about that. I wanted a halogen one but some of the other brands with the light bulb would evidently stop working when the bulb burned out. This one seemed better because of the carbon element and digital controls. When it came it looked nice but in lifting the top handle, one side of the top where the motor is supposed to attach to the glass top, there was no attachment there. There was a screw or attachment on the other side that held it when it was lifted up but it sagged down on the side without the attachment. Also when pushing down on the digital controls, the 2 pieces clanked together when they finally made contact. It seemed like it was missing a screw or attachment but there was not a hole for a screw or plug on the one side of the top. This was the side where the wires ran from the heating element to the top housing. I had some all purpose glue and used it to glue the 2 pieces together on the loose side. Now the top comes up all together when I lift it up. Other then this design/manufacturing flaw, the oven works well. It heats up well and the motor is quiet and runs smoothly. As long as it holds together, it seems to be working well. I gave it 3 stars because now that it is fixed it works well. However it should have been designed without the loose top in the first place.

Totally Amazing
This is our second one, we wore out the first one and just had to get another one immediately. The Sharper image is a much better appliance. With more options, We have lovingly nick-named it the Space Ship. We use it pretty much 3 meals a day

Would not recommend this oven.
I bought this oven because it looked to be a better one than other ovens of this kind - however, I found it does not cook like the ads says it does. You cannot go by the instructions - to much guess work when it comes to the times & temperatures. For one thing, it does not cook piazza worth a darn, as for poultry, fish etc.you have to experiment when it comes to the cooking time & temperature. Several members of my family have other makes which they say are better. It is not a substitute for a conventional oven, microwave or a convection toaster oven. For the price, it is highly overrated.
