A good clear book with a good selection of tunes. Playable and fun tunes.

Make sure you notice that the songs are tabbed out for standard tenor tuning (CGDA) and not Irish tuning (GDAE). I guess maybe there are some people that play tenor banjo in standard tuning and want to play the Irish/Celtic tunes. But this book is not for actual Irish tuning players.

This is a good book that is for CGDA Tuning.it has a variety of favourites to play through.Don't be too worried if your Banjo is set up for Irish tuning (like mine) you can still play the tunes as tabbed : they will of course come out in a lower key; or simply fit a capo to the 5th fret.if you wanted you can just change the strings to the lighter CGDA ones!Some Irish Banjoist's do use this tuning to good effect

This book is not a good product as all the arrangements are for the wrong tuning the Irish tenor banjo is usually played in a EADG tuning whereas this book is all in CGDA tuning so unless you want to learn a pick and retune restring etc prior to using it will be if no use.It should have this ads a warning on the cover.Especially as the word Celtic indicates .Otherwise I am sure it is of use to players who play tenor banjo in this alternative tuning.

Das Buch beinhaltet eine sehr schöne Sammlung an traditionellen Stücken einfachen bis mittleren Schwierigkeitsgrades. Aber: ich spiele alle Stücke in der Stimmung GDAE ( traditionelle Stimmung für irish folk ) und nicht in der Stimmung CGDA, wie im Buch angegeben.Gerade für Anfänger sehr empfehlenswert !
