Best non-toxic high grip yoga mat
When starting yoga I bought a mat totally unconscious. Not knowing about grip, materials, thickness, and so on I just bought the one the yoga teacher had in the yoga studio. Today, after totally wearing out my first mat and being a more advanced yogini I wanted to buy a new yoga mat in a more conscious way in order to support my new yoga journey. In researching all kinds of yoga mats and brands I discovered more and more what I wanted: a great grip sweat-proof yoga mat with natural materials from a brand that is actually involved in yoga. The sweat-proof aspect is really important. Being sticky glued to your yoga mat makes all the difference in how asanas evolve. Especially for a more powerlike yoga. If you wanna do onyl yin yoga, go for wool mats (doesnt even need to be a dedicated yoga mat). The case for a natural mat. There are so many toxic chemicals used in yoga mats. Sure, they give you great grip, smell great, are dsutproof, look fabulous and they survive forever. Yet these kinds of 'magical' mats come with a high cost. You pay with your health when putting your most energetic, vulnerable dermal interaction spaces, your bare hands and feet, on these highly toxic materials. Because, all this convenient magic is made from chemicals like PVC, PER, PU , NBR foam, TPE, ... If you dont like PFAS in your cooking stuff, you better take a good look at yoga mats as well then :-D Apart from my personal health, it is in the interest of the environment to practice a peace practice, like yoga is, with an instrument that is made peacefully. In the search I first tried a cork mat (which didnt work for the grip, unless, it was said, you spray water on the mat throughout your whole practice - impossible). At last I found this Bodhi yoga mat. It is a Eruopean brand dedicated to products for yoga, wellness, meditation and pilates. You can definitely feel that the mat is made by people who are practicing yoga themselves. This eco pro diamond yoga mat matches all my criteria:- Natural mat: 100% rubber.---Some say that the eco factor makes the mat more easily wear out, needing to change the mat after 6 months maybe. I find this a great indication. I love yogamats that deteriorate & wear out. It's the best sign of their bio-degradability and therefore their naturalness - which is not the case with yogamats that last forever.---Some say they dont like the smell of the mat. I dont know what they are talking about. To me it smells great, normal, fine. At least no weird freaky chemical smell, or the absence of smell is also an indicator of highly been processed by chemical stuff. Also, totally not having the feeling it smells like condoms, like one reviewer said :-D. If you focus on the smell it will get the bad smells for you. If you focus on just a decent good natural mat, it will also be just that. That's part of the yoga practice as well: dhristi, where you put your focus to?. It's a matter of priorities here, what do you want, where do you put your mind to: toxic magic, or simple natural beauty?--- Some say there is easily dust on it. Yes that's is true. Yet again: I choose natural healthy peaceful yogamat instead of a hazardous toxic product. In any case you can easily use a clothes lint brush. This effect also goes away more in time. And all yoga mats become dirty, even the toxic wondermats, that's just a given. You will always have to clean your yoga mat. Finally, it's only dust.- Sticky sweat proof: totally 100% the case. I feel like I'm glued to honey. It improves my practice 10 times in comparison with my previous mat. Holding poses and stretching it out becomes so much more easy.- Bodhi, a dedicated yoga brand. They know themselves what makes a good yoga mat.I love this yoga mat so much and I will probably buy more from this brand that has 100% natural yoga mats.Namaste everyone!Other positives:- Love the deep colours. I have the Jungle green one. It's such a beautiful colour.- The mat is heavy, in the sense that it doesnt slide away, I feel grounded by it, I feel supported by my mat. This is perfect for at home, a decent heavy mat. If you want to travel a lot, search for a lightweighted travel mat. But you will definitely love to have a heavier mat to practice the most on.- Nice pattern of wavy dots. You dont feel them, it's just a pattern.- I want to repeat the fact that I actually love the smell :-D

Absolut Klasse
