Nice and good item

So, I bought some of these (in another color) a bit ago (and presumably from another manufacturer, the march of global capitalism marches on). I liked the last one, but these are not as good.1) They're not actually black. I bought the "#54 black". They're white nylon dye sublimation printed. They got to a kind of dark brownish-purple.2) Their budget for sewing machine needles is obviously very small, because the needle slightly tore the fabric in places.3) I tried them on without washing them, and now I'm a bit itchy.If you plan on wearing your trunks a lot, I would recommend against buying these. I'm pretty sure if you buy a swimsuit that costs twice as much, it'll last three times as long. However, if (like me) you plan on wearing them pretty infrequently, then the shoddy quality is worth $12.If you do decide to buy these, the washing instructions are hand wash, line dry in the shade. Despite having to by own determent purchased Asian clothes before that don't come anywhere close to fitting, I took a shot with these shorts; god knows why. The good news; they fit! I purchased a men's M which seems to be the equivalent of an asian XXL. What? Is there any entire population of Asian people the size of pygmes I've never seen?? If so, they would have to be exceptionally skinny too! Anyways, I generally wear a 32-34 in pants; I'm lean; mildly athletic; probably 11% body fat. If you generally wear a men's medium you should be fine with that here. In fact, there was a bit of room in these shorts. They are comfortably fitting, but as their nature is a tight swim short, I wouldn't mind if they were even a bit more snug; however I'm thinking more legs than waste. Oh, and they are short! They look cool, but I realize I need to double up on leg day, get a tan, start injecting; something so that that I can have self-esteem when I wear them, because they do look cool. People have commented negatively saying "oh nooo, there's no net, where will my junk go?". I'm confused by the problem. There is room in the shorts for your package to sit comfortably, it's not going to "peak out" like a reviewer said; the shorts go down to your upper thigh, doh! However, if you get some blood flow moving in the lower regions, yes, it may be obvious, but hardly any different than with other tight pants. With all of that said, if you read this and go "yeah, that makes sense', then these shorts are for you.

My waist is 34" with a tape measure so I ordered size Medium-Plus (Asian size 2XL) and the fit is somewhat small, a little too tight. To be honest, I normally wear size Large underwear and T-shirts, but I wear a Medium in regular shorts and dress shirts. I went partially by the size chart measured in inches which makes the shorts seem like they should be bigger. My advice is to go with your regular underwear size and you should be fine. Therefore, next time I would order a size Large (Asian size 3XL) for my 34" waist.They're extremely well made and materials are excellent for the price. They're perfect for training in the pool or ocean. I deducted one star because the inseam seems a little short as they kind of ride up a little higher in between the legs relative to the outside of the legs, but this could be due to the fact that I got a size that's a little too small for me. Hopefully, a size Large will resolve this problem. Just don't go by the measurement in inches on the size chart. It should be adjusted. For example, the maximum fit for size Medium-Plus is about 34" but they currently state it can go up to 36".

Good fit and jury is out on durability.

He is slim and has a 33" waist, so I got the size M. And he is not one of those guys who has no butt; he has a butt. He would not have wanted these any smaller, for sure, but a bigger size might have been a little bit loose in the thighs. I just don't know. I would not be embarrassed if he wore these in public or around friends, although I bought them for him to wear just with me (as opposed to him wearing a little Speedo, which would be embarrassing!). He wanted something without big, dangly legs that would drip. These trunks will not drip, because they're snug and the fabric is not thick or spongy. The fabric seems to be very good quality. There is a drawstring inside the front, and there is a lining sewn into the front half of the trunks. It's not a separate, mesh sort of lining. These are very attractive and manly.

The material is really thin - not sure how well it will hold up - but so far (2 swims and a washing) they're doing OK. They fit as advertised, and are snug enough not to interfere with swimming. Non see through as far as I can tell.
