The shillelagh looks great. Very sturdy. I love the feel of the burl handle in my hand. I had to buy a rubber tip to prevent it from slipping on hardwood flooring.

Beautifully crafted walking stick in a style of the old country, an ideal introduction to using a cane. Well made and helpful in assisting in mobility, especially if you are not ready to step up to the larger rubber tipped cane. While it may not be as safe and sturdy as a full cane, it is a stylish companion for getting around. Nearly a year into use, a few spots of the black painted bark is chipping and may need a touchup soon. The copper pipe tip may not be ideal for fine wood floors, but is very durable.

For the price this item is a dud! I would make a good display piece but that is all. It might be the real deal in some circles but i was looking for something more formidable.

Well made. The workmanship that goes into making these is unbelievable. It is more beautiful than the picture. My husband loved it. If you're looking for one and not sure, I can tell you, you will no be disappointed.

This was supposed to be a Father’s Day gift. The handle of the shillelagh is smooth and done very well; however the rest of the walking stick is rough and the paint job is uneven. The paint still felt sticky and tacky and it wasn’t sealed with a varnish like the handle. Parts of the wood peeled right off when barely touched. I am disappointed as my hubby has been wanting a shillelagh for awhile now. I suppose my search continues.

Nice gentleman cane. Nice looking and easy hold handle is perfect. We did need to add a rubber stop on the bottom to increase balance.

I purchased this as a gift. It is an excellent shillelagh in weight, shape, height and workmanship, except for a small issue with the lacquer on the bottom of the cane. It appears as though the lacquer bubbled and has left small holes that expose the wood to the weather. The recipient of the cane isn’t worried about it but feels that the rating should be 4 stars because of it. He said that he will make sure to wipe the cane clean and dry after he uses it! All in all it’s worth the money and shipping was fast and received damage free! I would definitely purchase this cane again!

I will keep this only because I need a second cane and it is adequate length (34 1/2” from tip to where the web of my hand rests) with a comfortable grip. I wanted more of a walking stick and had expected something a bit longer and more substantial; this is slimmer and less handsome than my Brazos cane at double the price.

It is very nice but did not like that I could not choose the handle style. I would have preferred one with a handle and not just a pommel

Item arrived, and when opening the box, it was immediately noticeable that the item was damaged. Upon further inspection of the damage, it was clear that the item was not 100% Blackthorn, and was wood surrounded in cheap plaster. The item came with no tags, nothing explaining its heritage, as was shown in the sellers page. Given the price point, the condition, and obvious plastering of the wood, I do not recommend this item.
