Perfect fit 2000 silverado and half the price of autozone, oreilly, advance for same part number
If you have a late 90s or early 2000s silverado and live in the rust belt (michigan for me) this is bound to happen. Last year the drivers side rusted through and broke...Saw a rust hole starting on passenger side and sure enough it broke this year. Should be noted that I do not haul heavy loads with this truck nor tow large trailers. The OEM Shackle is junk. Period. This Dorman one fit perfect and as I replaced the other side last year I know they hold up. If your silverado is showing signs of a worn shackle replace it before it slams your spring through your bed of the truck. This product comes with the new bushing installed in the shackle and new bolts for both the spring and the frame mount. Should be noted you do have to reused the leaf spring bushing so dont screw up that bushing when you remove it. Best way to remove them is to cut through the bolts with die grinder or air cut off saw and tap them out!!!! Good luck!

Fit like glove
Just as good as original and a lot cheaper too. Had to do some holding my mouth right getting the old off but the new one fit perfect.

The cheapest priced, yet good quality brand shackle I've seen.
I recently replaced both of my leaf spring shackles on my 2006 Silverado. It was a terrible job removing the old parts. I ordered these shackles as they are very affordable and pretty good quality. The only thing about this product that seemed of lower quality was the threads on a couple of the bolts didn't quite jive with the nuts. They tightened down, but the nuts were shaving part of the threads off of the bolts. I had small metal shavings that came off of the threads of one of the bolts as I tightened it. They tightened down fine beyond that. (As a side note) I realized quickly that there is no room to press in the old style replacement bushings into the rear leaf springs. The fender is to close to put a C- clamp in there to press them in. I ordered the "Energy Suspension 3.2141G Rear Leaf Spring Set". It is comprised of two polyurethane bushing half pieces with a slide in metal sleeve. (The kit actually comes with all the bushings needed to replace the whole leaf spring.) It made replacing bushings a piece of cake. They are expensive, but well worth it to get the job done and over with. I also replaced the shackles on the truck with the bolts put in from the outside (nuts inward). Makes the job much simpler. There will be threads that come out past the nut (when completely tightened down) where the leaf spring attaches to the upper shackle. The threads will wedge against the holder. Just cut off the excess threads that stick out past the nut with a carbide grit sawzall blade. I hope my experience helps those of you out there tackling this job.

10/10
Besides the issues we had with the Reese hitch (someone installed it wrong and it was super hard to get to the old part) this part was super easy to install and it has been fine since we installed it! For the price so cheap the value is for sure worth it!

Didn't have an issue, great quality and all bolts included so I would buy again if needed. Buy the hanger to replace as well. Good for another 15 years.
