I purchased an 8 lb vest 3 months ago and started using it during my daily 30 minute walks wearing it 3 times a week. It fits well and is comfortable, plus I can get it snug across my back and shoulders and the weight is evenly distributed. After 2 months of use I have now started to wear it daily. It does exactly what I want it to do - increase the intensity of my low impact walk without adding time. I definitely noticed that my body heated up faster and the amount of sweat also increased - quite dramatically. I was just diagnosed with osteopenia and I'm hoping daily use of the vest will help with that!I took a picture the 1st time I tried it - looking at it now I see I had the vest on UPSIDE DOWN!!! Make sure the white stripes are up by your shoulders - LOLThe vest seems high quality for the price. I would highly recommend it!

So well made, fits my body well, which i was worried about. i have a large chest (DD). i got the 8 pound because I didn't want it to be tooooo heavy, and the weight is perfect. after wearing it, my shoulders and neck feel really released and good. and i can feel it challenging my body in a good way when i'm cleaning, walking, bending over etc!

After airing out the smell for 4 days, I took my first walk wearing the 8 lb. weighted vest. I am 78 years old, 5'3" tall, and 125 lbs. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in 1999 when I shattered my right wrist. I have been doing 10,000 steps a day to build bone and that worked so well that for a time, I was testing "low risk for osteoporosis." But about 3 years ago, I came up with osteopenia, and then just recently osteoporosis again! My son-in-law is a geriatric physical therapist who's been helping me with maintenance all these years. He suggested the weighted vest. So it's too early to see if it builds bone to do this, but my goal is to reach an hour a day and we'll see what happens. I'm also adding boron through food to my diet. And I know I don't eat enough red meat ... so there's room for improvement. I'll update when I get the next DEXA scan ... not sure when but hoping for more bone! Helps improve my posture and bone density. I can wear this while I either hike or walk around the mall. It has hangers for you to hang your pepper spray and any other key chains. I also hang my personal alarm on it just in case. They have great colors. I highly recommend.

Very satisfied with this product. A friend recommended and I took reviewers advice and went up a weight level. My Ortho PA also recommended a weighted vest addition to my healthy bone plan. Comfortable, non abrasive, adjustable. I wish the vented pocket was on the front because I don’t find the rear location helpful. Perhaps it is good for a flashing light when walking, but I can’t reach it when I’m wearing the vest.
