Educational and pretty illustrations
This book is educational, not a story. It introduces the life cycle of a butterfly and includes a few interesting facts. The illustrations are pretty. I purchased for my 4yo who loves butterflies and is currently learning about them in her preschool program. We'll reference it when she sees a caterpillar or butterfly outside and wants to know more about what she's seeing. In those instances, she enjoys it, but it's not a book she ever requests before bed just for fun. If you're looking for nature books for your homeschool library or to satisfy the curiosity of a kid who loves bugs and butterflies, it's a great option.

Beautifully illustrated and very interesting
My kids and I study butterflies every spring. Over the years we have accumulated several books about butterflies, but this is the best. The illustrations are lovely and we learned a lot about butterflies that other kids books don’t cover. It is written in cursive, so kids that don’t read cursive would have a hard time reading this independently, but I believe the script lends to the beauty of the book.

Beautiful
Love this book!! Lots of great info but not dry. It’s beautifully written and the illustrations are even better. I want to get a second copy I love it so much for my son. I used it for a preschool study! I read this book to my class and the children 1-5 seemed to like it. The ones who stayed through the whole book were 4 and 2 so it’s very digestible for any age I feel.

Beautiful!
Gorgeous illustrations. An unusual text but the kind of book to curl up with, with a child and explore the different concepts on each page.

Precioso libro
