Perfect for Squaring Bee-Hive-Boxes, Heavy Duty!
I purchased four of these Can-Do Clamps for assembling Bee Colony Boxes. The maximum thickness of pass-through stock on these is 1 and 3/4 inches. The maximum lay flat miter or T-Joint thickness is 2 and 3/4 inches. The Clamp body is nice and heavy, painted aluminum. The threads are of good quality and the clamp holds very firm with very good gripping of the stock. The corners are OPEN, so any glue can drip down the joint without messing up the clamp, you also have open access to the joints for screwing or drilling the corners without the clamp getting in the way.You can bench mount it, wall mount it, or use it to shim stock while locking down the 90 degree angle.I use two at a time, as shown in the video, and have them clamp opposite 90 degree angles, this makes all angles a true 90 degrees. They work exactly as I expected them to, I expect these clamps to last a VERY long time as there really just isn't anything to wear out. I recommend them without hesitation or reservation. When it comes to the inconvenience of the sliding T-handle for adjusting, I just get it well within a few centimeters of the stock I plan to clamp, then just put it on and finish tightening.

Can Do Clamp Can Done! just get it!
Great corner Clamp for putting two boards of different thickness together so that the glue can dry. Really impressed by how the Corner doesn't sit on the clamp so that you don't have to worry about dripping glue or the clamp getting glued to the boards! When I Clamp I use the Can-Do Clamp for the bottom corner, and a smaller corner Clamp for the top 1/2. I picked up a knock off Clamp at Harbor Freight, but Amazon has the Bessey version that goes well with the Can Do Clamp. Bessey WS-3 Angle Clamp https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000022454/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_8j7CzbTJH8V44Together they make a great pair. Love my Can Do!

... the first time I tested them I realized how bad the handle design is
I bought these for an upcoming book case project and the first time I tested them I realized how bad the handle design is. Unless you have the handle hanging off the edge of the workbench, you can only tighten the clamp half a turn. Then you have to slide the bar back and tighten it another half turn. Terrible design. I removed the tightening bar and made Bessy style handles. The clamps are so much easier to use now. They seem like they will work for squaring up the bookcase for assembly. Time will tell.

Perfect 90* angles!
Used these to build some frames to stretch canvas over. I tested a few pieces of scrap to make sure the corners would be square. I placed two 1"x2" boards in the clamp haphazardly and tightened down the clamp and put a couple of brads in to secure them, then measured. Using a quick layout square, I found a perfectly square connection. The boards self-centered and came together right where I needed them. The clamps have some weight to them too and have slots to mount them to a bench for repeatable jobs.

Quality design
Nicely made. My 90 degree work is much more productive since I got this. It swivels a little as it tightens adding to its useful design - not fixed and stiff. A little wiggle room can make a difference. My wife sometimes uses it for her hobby work.

Broke under pressure.
Bought this for a project that got postponed and can no longer return it. Upon first use it snapped where it matters most. The grips are designed poorly which allows for wiggle room. I had to over tighten it to hold the material steady and the lightweight aluminum that this clamp is made of gave into the force. Although this tool would be handy for light framing, it is not suitable for larger applications, or for use a table clamp.

Great ASSEMBLY clamp. Use it to help you hold parts together while working.
So the first thing I should point out is that this is NOT a glue up clamp. This particular type of clamp is best used to help you put a cabinet together. I am currently working on redoing our walk in pantry. I am replacing the cheap wire shelving with nicer melamine shelves that can be adjusted and will also be taller than the original wire ones. I use these to help me hold the shelves at 90 degrees while I drill a pilot screw and secure the shelves with FASTCAP PHZ8.3-inch-150PC PowerHead 3-Inch Cabinet Installation Screws, 150-Pack. Previously I built a couple of L shaped clamping brackets that I would use when I needed to assemble a cabinet. I would clamp the L down and then clamp the upright board to the other leg. This worked pretty well and I still use them but these MLCS clamps just simplify the process.I can see where inexperienced woodworkers would have trouble with these. First off if you plan on using wood glue to hold a box together this is not going to apply the correct clamping pressure. In that situation a band clamp similar to MLCS 9012 Woodworking Exclusive Merle Multi-Corner Clamp is more closely suited for that task.As for problems with the paint as others have stated? I have not encountered it but c'mon, big deal. Here is what it comes down to, I bough 4 of these for $100 with free shipping (we have prime) compare that to other versions of corner clamps and its a pretty decent deal.About my reviews.I have a pretty basic rating system3 stars = meets expectations, in order words it does what its supposed to do.1 & 2 stars = fails to meet expectations, doesn't cut the mustard.4 & 5 stars = exceeds expectations. Its gotta REALLY rock to get 5 stars.I try to be as detailed as possible without getting technical. There are a lot of reviewers out there that just give too much info I try to keep it simpleIf you have a question about the product or review, post a message in comments and I generally will respond within 24 hours.[...] Thanks!
