Great gift. Easy to dig and swivel. Grand son loved it!! Durable. Sustains snow, rain, heat. Great size for my 4 year old and several more years ahead! Plays on this over and over!

Late review.. I bought this over a year ago and let me just say, it still has not rusted and works perfectly after sitting outside in Florida through hurricanes and humid weather. Works as it did the day we bought it. My daughter is three now when we bought it she was two, she was a little short to sit on the seat and control it but now she’s a pro! Great addition to our back yard play space!

Worth it! This is great quality and durable. We bought this one and another brand for a beach party. This one is far superior in quality and setup is a breeze. The bucket is metal and the movements are very smooth. Absolutely would recommend

So simple to assemble, tool comes with it. The metal is good quality. 3 year old loves it and size fits perfectly. 100% worth the price.I could see wheels being fun to move around with though

My 4 year old grandson (and his 2 year old brother) love this. He sits on the seat that swivels. There are 2 arms: one that raises the bucket arm up and down, and one arm that rotates the bucket. He was using it in the house to pick up toys the day he got it. A few days later my son sent of video of him in his sand box outside using the the excavator like a pro. I couldn't believe how expertly he used it. Kids learn so fast. It's great for their coordination. To clarify, the 2 yr old is not as adept because he has to reach farther. I don't recommend it for a 2 yr old. But your 4 year old will love it! I spent a few extra dollars for the vest and helmet but my grandson doesn't wear them.
