A good buy for the fatheads among us.... with some forsight involved that is.
Most Important Things:1. I have a large head. I'm on the XXX/XXXX curve and generally no larger.2. Big Jaw required some smaller Bell cheek pads to fit properly3. After thats done, this may be THE most comfortable lid I have EVER OWNED.4. Nice deep ear pockets for rider intercom tools5. Despite being midtier cost, its very high value for the money.6. It came with a clear and a dark shield!7. With small adjustments, I am VERY VERY VERY happy wiht this lid.Critisims:1. the slot down shades are a little wonky to operate, but work.2. the silver highlights are not retro-reflective.Here is the long version:So I have a big, round head and a large jaw, so that makes fitting helmets a little weird for me. Always has. Add to that I sometimes wear glasses! So, modulars are my go too over the last several years.I ordered the 3X unit, and from another vendor, the 20mm cheekpads along with the 2X halo.FIRST OFF, THIS COMES WITH A TINTED SHIELD AND A CLEAR SHIELD. I missed that each time I read the description (dont know how) but it does. The stock 3X cheeckpads are too tight for me, but might be perfect for some. I tried the stock ones for a week, and it just wasnt comfortable, they were too tight and werent wearing in enough. I added the new 20mm units in and they started out tighter than the stock, but after another weak broke in just right. Turns out, I didnt have to adjust the halo, that was dead on.As for wear and feel, it seems like its a little noisy, but not bad. My bike has an adjustable windshield and when I pust it up 100% things get nice and quiet. Yesterday was a good warm day, so I got out and rode for a bit.... and I forgot to open the air vents. WHen I did it was like ICEWATER pouring around my head, it was GREAT. This suprised me as I never noticed cold air being an issue in the earlier months.I also chose to pair this helmet with a photochromatic face shield. That was maybe the iceing on the cake... I had been using the slot down shades and they are kinda wonky... I dont like the "feel" of their operation, its not very positive in opening and closing. I had a Full Face Harley modular recently that was a solid mechanical connection, which operated GREAT. This one I think is cable operated and you can feel the slacki/slop during actuation.I find the silver on black pattern very understated and attractive. (black gets hot though kids, remember that) My only wish is the silver highlights were ALSO retro-reflective. I would have paid ANOTHER hundred bucks NQA if that was an OEM feature. It would make a good helmet stylish AND nighttime visible. WIN FOR EVERYONE!!!Unrelated Story:Shout out to Bell Helmets. During research I tried calling the number listed on their facebook page... which was wrong. It was just some dude! Poor guy had been getting their calls for TWO YEARS. After a couple weeks of pestering via email and FB IM, they were able to get their marketing team to correct that issue for the guy and get the right number up. SCORE ONE for the powersports community, taking care of people is EXACTLY what a Helmet Manufacturer should be in the business of doing, and they did. Will buy Bell products again!

Light and comfortable.
I've never had a full face helmet and I was really hoping that getting one would help me extend my riding season as the weather had started to cool off on Michigan. I'm not disappointed at all. My first ride with the helmet started on a mild day and it was nice to have a break from the wind. Later in the evening I was caught in rain. Anyone that rides knows that rain hurts! It wasn't much more than an inconvenience with this helmet. It did not fog up like I was worried it might. The rain blew across the face shield and didn't affect my vision like it would have if I'd only had glasses on. I measured my head and using the size chart I got a perfect fit.

I gave it 4 Stars, but sent it back.
Seemed like a well made helmet which is what I would expect from Bell. They've been making helmets for decades. I bought my first Bell helmet when I was a teenager and had my first dirt bike. It was an orange Bell Star full coverage helmet. It's what all the pro racers were wearing so, I had to have one. Fifty years and many helmets later, I ordered this one. It has some weight to it, more than most other helmets, but not ridiculous. The little added weight makes me think sturdier and safer. The finish was beautiful and the black and red color combination matched my Yamaha Super Tenere very nicely. The problem for me was the size. I found the helmet too snug and returned it for a larger helmet. Unfortunately, this particular helmet isn't available in a size larger that 2xl. I did have to purchase a different brand to accommodate my overly large melon. But, if you can wear a 2xl, this is a high quality helmet and a bargain for the price. It is hard to beat Bell for quality and value.

Fitment issues, runs smaller then you think,
Bought it after measuring my head, as I normally wear the size stated. Right out of the box, tried it on, nope wont fit, send it back. New Motorcycle means old gear out, new gear in. Now I hear they say to replace your helmet every 5 years. I can see that if you had a crash issue, but just to random throw it out. Naaa Helmet and Bluetooth unit to go and Bell puts out quality stuff so I am not giving up yet.

LOUD!!!
This helmet is horribly loud, the foam is exposed and not completely covered by the inside liner. I received it used and there were puncture holes in the foam!!!! Garbage don't purchase the magnetic button fell out of the strap.

Quieter than my other bell. High quality feeling.
I've owned a few Bell helmets and they do tend toward being loud (earplugs required.) I've been told this is normally due to ventilation. More holes means more noise. That said, this is the quietest of the Bell's I've had (most recently was a Vortex Band.) With ear plugs it's good to go.One nice thing I didn't expect is the face shield mount is compatible from my Vortex Band so I was able to take my Transitions face shield and move it over :)So far I'm happy with it. Used a few times for shorter local rides. The real test will be an all day 6-8 hour day to see if my ears/head are still happy.

Cheekpads Beef
This fit perfectly, out of the box. After two five hour rides, the cheek pads softened so much the helmet became too loose. Went on line, and much to my surprise the Medium helmet comes with Bell's maximum (40 mm) cheekpads, and Bell only makes replacements in 25-40 mm. It would have made more sense to go with smaller pads initially. Also the chin strap snap is too far up in the helmet, and is hard to do and undo. Otherwise, no complaints, the optics are good on the visor and sunshield.

Great helmet, great price.
I got my helmet when they were going for $200 as the daily deal. I was hesitant to get this helmet because I wasn't sure if I'd use it much. That's because I usually wear a half helmet on my cruiser. But after getting this helmet and a cardo headset I'm wondering why I didn't buy it sooner. The helmet is great. This is my 3rd Bell helmet and they always fit me great. The red on the one that I purchased isn't quite as dark as I thought it would be, but I love it anyways.

Size guide not exact
Very high quality helmet with excellent looks but unfortunatley a touch too tight around the temples. Would have replaced with the next size up but it wasn't available hence the return for a refund.
