Heck of budget kit! it can do good job!I got this HPUSN Softbox Lighting Kit couple of weeks now and used for some restaurant manual job two times. See some of the photo attached. It was adequate for those small jobs and in studio shoot. I was asked to give my friend's new restaurant shoot new manual photos, and had some friend with me to try out there food. but don't want to carrier my big and expensive studio lighting cross town (LA is too big to call it town. It took me two hour to cross it without traffic), I come cross this kit. It was very easy to set up. so small to leave in the car. Matter fact, I left it in there for next use. It provide good soft light were perfect for those type work. And the cost... my car cost more money to get to that restaurant! What the con is you can not change the light output and color temp, also need AC power outlet, but I am not asking this cheap kits to do so. If all you needed is reliable lighting and soft lighting. It sure do the job.Highly recommend!

Before reviewing, I think it's useful to describe who am I. For 10 years I have been taking pictures, though I only consider myself engaging in 'photography' in the last couple of years, focusing on wildlife, nature, and street.More recently I've become keen to engage in portrait photography, but I am a novice here, and thought this softbox would be an excellent choice based on the price. I was right:-- brightness is sufficient for portrait photography-- supremely easy to set up-- produces pleasing tones-- everything inside the carrying case was intact in great shape, unlike some of the other reviews I've seen here(with the notable exception of the carrying case itself: had some type of mold on it as some other reviewers have noticed-- for me, though, I had another case lined up, and this case is flimsy as expected for the money. Just tossed it)So I would say serious pros consider another product, but if you're just getting into the basics of portraiture as I am, I think it's a great fit. Stoked to try it out on my roommates in the covid era.

I purchased these lightboxes for use as an amateur photographer and they work fine for my needs. I am not a pro and do not have any need for the much more expensive light boxes out there. I use these around the house for fun macro product shoots, etc. They work fine for that. If I have a gripe it would be that the tripods are super cheap and the height adjustment knobs look like they are doomed to fail. The tripods are barely adequate. Overall, if you are just looking for something easy to brighten up simple pictures for your website or something, these will work fine. I would not buy these if you plan on moving them around a lot as no doubt these tripods will not last. But if you, like me, will be basically setting them up once and leaving them up in a small home or office space, they will work well and function as advertised. Not the best but like I said, you get what you pay for and these are a nice inexpensive option.

When opening the package, the size of it surprised me! It is much bigger than what I envisioned it to be. So far after using this a few times I am loving my new HPUSN Professional Studio Photography Lighting Kit! This kit comes with two stands, two soft boxes, two 85W CFL light bulbs, two light diffusing shades, two cases to hold the shades and soft boxes, and a large carrying case to hold it all. It was super easy to set up. It took me about 10 minutes or so to figure it out since there were no instruction sheet. But like doing a puzzle, it becomes easy to put together after you figure it out once. The stands are adjustable up to 6’~ish which is terrific for adjusting lighting however you see fit. They also tend to be a little top heavy, so adding some counter weight at the bottom of the stand will make sure that if you accidentally bump into one that it won’t come crashing down. I found out when I was testing the lighting that the light bulbs got hot after about 20 minutes of use. So be wary and not leave them on for too long without supervision. After using it a few times the lighting from both soft boxes turned out incredible overall, even in the darkest room. If you’re on a budget looking for a solid lighting kit, whether its for photography or videography, I definitely recommend this product.
