I was telling my cousin about this today at Thanksgiving and decided I should probably leave a review. I bought this back in April and have not had a single cold sore since I started using it. It’s moisturizing and a great value. I bought the two pack and keep one in my purse and one at my desk for work and both are still very full despite using it regularly. At the hint of that first itchy/burning sensation of a cold sore starting, this stuff stops it in its tracks. I tend to get them in the extreme cold and heat and have not had one since I bought this. I had one that healed before I bought it and was searching for a product out of frustration when I found this. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely LOVE this stuff. I originally purchased it in the hopes of effectively treating a cold sore that just wouldn't quit (abreva is super expensive and not that effective) and it worked amazingly for that purpose. Whenever I feel a cold sore coming on, I just make sure to apply this stuff and it never appears at all! When one does pop up, I apply this ointment to it several times a day (using a heavy hand at night before bed) and the irritation starts going down immediately! The cold sore is always completely gone within two days maximum! Honestly, I would buy this product just for it's use as a cold sore treatment, but it does so much more!! The first time I ever applied it to a cold sore, I found out that it's also the most amazing lip balm I've ever tried! So moisturizing, so soothing, and absorbs fast without sitting on your lips--but not so fast that you have to constantly reapply. The consistency is a bit like vaseline, though much thinner, and it absorbs quickly into the skin unlike vaseline which will sit on your skin until you wipe it off. In fact, this product serves as a very effective replacement for vaseline--you can use it anywhere you would use vaseline and it works MUCH better. I use it on minor cuts, scrapes, and burns with great success. It also works on blisters and bug bites and does a great job softening calluses. The absolute best use I've found for this ointment, though, is as a treatment for razor burn. Ladies, we all know the struggle of shaving "down there" and the kind of itchy, painful razor burn that follows. So many products claim to solve this issue and are completely ineffective, but this ointment WORKS. I just apply a thin layer over the entire area I shaved as soon as I'm done shaving and VOILA, no razor burn at all!! Ladies, seriously, if you use this product afterwards, you can even get away with shaving upwards in the "down there" region without experiencing any sort of razor burn or irritation at all afterwards! I have literally never found another product that will do that, and I've tried them ALL! Don't hesitate, GET THIS STUFF, and then wonder at how you ever lived your life without it!!

I have a cold sore that only pops up every few months or so when I'm really stressed out or sick. It usually resolves on its own with basic care (vaseline or coconut oil) within a week. Well, MAJOR stress events this summer made it rear its ugly self with more pain, discomfort, and general YUCK than I can ever remember. Stress was still stressing me out(!) but the cold sore started feeling better within 24 hrs. It went from showing NO inclination to heal whatsoever - crusting, bleeding, scabbing and cracking - to softening up, no bleeding, decreased pain, and as the scab came off there was miraculous healthy tissue where a CRATER used to be. I think it took 4-5 days for it to become almost undetectable. You'd better believe this will live in my medicine cabinet and my purse for ever and ever. This is the best product that I have ever bought. I had gone to Nebraska to visit my parents. I have never had problems with my lips before while I was out there for some reason my lips started peeling and was so dry. They hurt they live in a very small town, but they did have this little pharmacy and I went to the pharmacist and I said do you have anything for my lips? She gave me the last bottle of this lip balm in two days my lips clear, but I was back in Boston and wanted to get some more. I now have found it on Amazon. Great product!!! Super hydrating, just the right consistency. Not too soft not too hard. Don’t keep in hot car or it will melt though. I keep a few around the house and it’s really great for cold,sores. It has a very faint smell which I LOVE but you can’t really smell it unless you try really hard.

This stuff works! I get large fever blisters, and this stuff keeps them at bay. It really speeds up the healing process as well.

These are great for sensitive lips. Gloss, chapsticks and lipstick always give me an outbreak. I use these as a daily moisturizer for my lips and it’s so thick that it looks like a gloss. The multipack is great because I keep them in different areas of my house and bags for whenever I need them. Expensive but worth it to me!

I use this when I get a cold sore breakout.

I have a skin condition that id i dont take L-Lysine I get itchy, underneath the skin reactions. I thought this cream would be the bomb and help that. Sadly it didn't
