PEPE MARK-II Ring Bending Tool Set, Newly Redesigned and Made in the USA (301.00A)

This thing is the BEST. I repurpose old flatware into stuff and this answered all my needs for bending. The time it saves you makes it pay for itself in no time. I had my doubts about this contraption holding up to what I needed it to do, but holy smokes it works great. The handle can go in either direction to press so you can use either hand without getting awkward. I mounted mine on the corner of my work table through the holes provided. I’d like to see a size extension on the dies provided, but for rings and keychains what comes with it is magnificent. The silicon press pieces are remarkably strong and hold up to even thicker, serving spoon sized handles without damaging the metal it presses against. This guy is worth every penny. While this machine does the work for you, you still need to practice bending and get a feel for it. Once your piece is bent it’s hard to adjust if it’s not elbow you want. So far it’s easiest to start with a larger diameter die and work your way down to the size you’re aiming for.

I purchased the tool as a local school asked me to make 50 spoon rings with the art class for a fund raiser. I figured I would either end up with a carpal tunnel claim or just buy the tool and the tool seemed cheaper and less painful. After the 50 rings I must say I did damage the tool by bending the casting where the metal pivoting point goes into the casting. May have been a porous casting or just too much pulling for the tool. Not sure. The overall fit and finish is very good so that was the only problem.. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me out a new tool even before they got the old tool back. Very very good customer service. I gave the tool a rating of 5 stars on sturdiness as the spoon ring project was pretty demanding. It did above average on the thinner spoons and average on the larger ones. We annealed the spoons before and during the bending and forming process and I recommend that to anyone else as a normal part of this type of metal work. Cherry red and air cool as you go. Doing half shanks and pre-bending shank material to fit quicker is a huge part of how we use the tool. I totally recommend using this tool and it paid for itself very quickly in saved time and effort. Take Care, Jeff

Just got my new Pepe in today 🤗 all set up and tried my first rings 💍 band (I’m soooo in LOVE) never will I ever make another ring 💍 without this tool 😉 takes all the wear and tear off my hands 🙏🙏🙏

I think it's a neat machine and design but.... The bending handle is too short. Not only will it cause blisters if your a daily user of this machine but it will break off. The material is cheap, it cannot handle the usage. If you look on YT you'll see people have gone as far as to weld the handle to the mount. Poor engineering.

No where on this products page does it say that if you wish to make rings with more heavy duty utensils that you should purchase a different product they offer. It DOES say that inside the box when you open it and read the materials. Returned this because it could not effectively bend many of the utensils we have and did wind up purchasing Pepetools recommended item. The biggest issue here is that it was purchased with a CC and returned. Amazon did not refund the CC but rather credited the amount in the form of an Amazon gift card. Wouldnt be an issue if the card was 0% but it is not. Its also not really a refund, when you dont reverse the method of payment that was used. I am now essentially paying interest on something I am not even using at the moment. Pretty much completely defeats the purpose of shopping here. Wouldnt have even made the purchase, if the information regarding a different item would have been disclosed.

The item arrived earlier than expected with update notifications each step of the way! Item was as describe and I'm so excited to have it in my arsenal. The package did come with nylon dies for the circular posts (90 and 60 degree nylon dies not included) , which I was not sure of from the description. So I was happy to see them in the box. Pepe makes a solid item, and I have no doubt I will be happy with this item.

It's expensive, but it works well and you can easily make your money back. Makes a perfect round ring with. I use it for making spoon rings and bending others decorative items. The plastic dies work really well and should get a lot if use before being replaced.

J’ai reçu mon ring bender, mais contrairement aux 2e et 3e photos (images en 3D), l’appareil ne vient pas avec un étau. Il fonctionne très bien une fois vissé sur une surface en bois (vis non incluses). L’outil comprend une toute petite vis de pression pour maintenir le round die en place, qu’on dévisse avec une mini clé Allen (incluse). Par contre, je vous recommande FORTEMENT de remplacer cette vis par une petite vis à tête fendue que vous pourrez retirer sans soucis avec un tournevis. Pourquoi? Parce qu’après seulement 3 utilisations, la vis d’origine s’est coincée dans son trou et une simple pression peut facilement abîmer le filetage intérieur. La clé Allen n’aide pas beaucoup, elle finit même par endommager l’intérieur de la vis. Résultat : une bonne heure passée à essayer de la déloger (avec l’aide d’un commis de quincaillerie… si vous avez la chance qu’il accepte de vous aider 😅). Sinon, l’appareil fonctionne parfaitement bien et fait très bien son travail! 👍🏼🤓

The Pepe Mark 2 Ring bender is a great tool to use provided you use the nylon formers, these perform without any problem. The steel formers mark the material very badly, probably as bad or worse than using pliers, this is due to the edges being sharp and appear not to be the same radius as the nylon ones.
