High Quality product. Installation in wide frames requires strength and skill.
Good quality. Works as intended.Very good quality and materials. Looks great and strong. Durable.Requires considerable strength to pull it wider for wide door frames, and rotating it.Probably more practical for once-and-done permanent installation than for daily installation and removal.Because it drops very little from the door frame, it is necessary to have sufficient head room between the door frame and the ceiling. Low drop ceilings with limited head-room (due to A/C vents for example) may limit its usability in some cases (like mine).

The Perfect Pull Up Device
I was originally intrigued by the simple unique design of this device. I was looking for something more than just a pull-up bar and this lured me in..I started to watch on line video reviews and was more than impressed. My device arrived in the mail today and LOVE everything about this! I'm 5'10, 170lbs. The strength of the steel is top notch. The strong rubberized red grip makes for perfect traction against the molding so you feel extremely secure. The versatility of the handles used at 90 degrees are an excellent option for anyone looking to change the angles of their routine. You may have to use alot of strength to expand the device to fit under the door frame but that's the true mark of the the overall durability. I've had a variety of pull up bars throughout the years that cost less than half of this BUT they never lasted... You get what you pay for and would highly recommend the Cross Grips Jayflex to anyone!

Great Design, Poor Build Quality: So Close yet So Far...
Dear Jay,Your product has a great design with three strong points:- Compact Size: Perfect for travel.- Good Fit: Works with the girthiest of door frames and trim.- Clean Fittings: Rubber pads seem gentle on walls and frames (based on my brief usage). The clever design makes this tool stand out from other workout equipment. But the build quality is a major disappointment. First, the horizontal grips don’t have a large enough stopper to stay parallel to the ground, so they slip under the screw and tilt downward. I tightened the screw to fix this, but with more use, the frame itself started warping, causing the screw to angle even more and the grips to point further down. I lost all faith in the metal’s quality, as it kept bending until the horizontal grips were unusable. The box says carbon steel, but it feels like cheap aluminum. Then, the spring inside one grip came loose, making the handle unable to hold tension against the frame, rendering it useless. I fiddled with it for about 30 minutes but gave up.I’m returning it. The weak materials and flaws ruin a product I was excited to use for pull-ups anywhere. At this price, the quality is far too low.I would be more than happy to pay twice as much for a product that I know I can truly use everywhere and won't simply fall apart due to the most regular type of usage. This one just isn't it.

Very cool product, very expensive
My new apartment has wide doors - so wide, in fact, that my previous doorway pullup bars didn't work on them. After months on end of doing pullups practically every day, this was disconcerting, however my gym workouts had pullups every week or thereabouts, so it wasn't such a big deal. Then came the gym closures, threatening my routine and banishing me to a world with no pullups, chinups, or even dips! Despite the price for these, it seemed worth taking a chance on. They aren't lying about not swinging your reps on this, but just do them strict and you're fine. They do cause less damage than most doorway models in terms of marring and discoloring the area around the door frame. Easy to adjust, the handles are a bit slick but I actually like that they're not covered in the usual doorframe pullup bar squishy pads that hurt my hands when they compress and get up under my calluses. One thing other reviewers pointed out (receiving pairs that weren't identical, etc.) is certainly true - they have slightly different angles, which remain slightly different upon hanging, but that's all in the hand. Perhaps it could cause an imbalance of sorts, but that could be fixed by switching up the grip you use. Haven't tested hanging my ring dips off of these, but I don't forsee an issue. They come off easy and fold up small, perfect for travel (one day this will be a benefit...). $100 is quite a bit for these, but they're definitely infinitely more portable than typical doorway pullup bars as well as offering the ability to work on nearly any doorframe, so as much as I wish the price was lower they did a good job differentiating the product and charging a premium price. If they came out flawless (no disparity on the handle angles, for example) I probably wouldn't even mind the price. Over the years to come, it seems they can probably figure out these issues, but you might have to buy on their website at this point and I'm sure demand for home gym equipment is going way up.

Surprisingly Good; Slightly Expensive
It's a good purchase but slightly expensive. It is surprisingly sturdy and can be used for dips and push-ups as well. I actually really appreciate that. It is not exactly intuitive immediately how to put it on a door frame the first time; you have to figure out what works best for you but once it is on, it is on and it is very good. The grip is a little bare-bones but you can order those standard foam tube things to put around it.I don't like how it looks slightly cheap... The welding that connects the grips to the thing is a little rough.9.3/10.
